Since the last update, I've had a problem  where in some games, when firing at someone... the shell appears to hit the ground in front of me, showering debris and not hitting the tank. it can occur a few times at the same tank.. In the replay, it does not show this.  Is it a network issue.? I'm on 1 gig down and 100 up. with a ping of 20 or less .. and no other user on the same home network..

cheers.  ( Solved - turn off Battle assistant in mods.)

Well, maybe someone else can shed some light on the problem.

Kinda difficult to do when we can't see what actually happened...

like i said.. theres' nothing to see on the replay. looks fine. its only when playing a live game. I shall play another later. see if it does the same after I reinstall the game again and keep the original install and compare the 2.

cheers

Just stick up a link to the Replay on WotReplays .......it's quite easy to do.

I'd say there is....but some folk are a bit worried about comments regarding positioning, gameplay and other things rather than the problem that's being highlighted.

I can understand.

I assume OP is playing on the SD client, which has serious terrain desynchronisation issues - you'll be looking at an enemy from behind cover such as a rock, and you'll hit the rock instead. You need to be able to see the tank's outline, then you know you have a clean shot, but bear in mind a portion of your aimcircle might still be covered by the invisible part of the rock.

I just can't fathom why WG allows this stuff to happen. Why is there such a difference between the SD and HD clients' visual model of map objects?

Unless you're playing with maxed terrain quality, you're gonna run into this issue eventually, and it's been present ever since 1.0, never to be fixed...a catastrophic and honestly shameful fail from such a big company.

Where the hell are you? 1Gb download speed???

1gig down and 100 up sounds just like the specs on a network card on a local network.

Have you actually done an internet speed test?

Post that up.
