So, in this new event...the Panthers deal as much damage as the 88mm gun on the Panther II, and the Tiger I's deal as much damage as the 105mm gun on the Tiger II.

It caught me off guard, I was surprised, unpleasantly. I'm struggling to find the reason as to why this is a thing...except for, maybe, you know, as an attempt to emphasize their firepower vs. the other nations' tanks.

Why was this necessary?...it feels strange. You know, considering we're used to different damage outputs of these tanks in random battles.

It's because the bots received the german buff patch before the pvp servers.

It's not random battles.

They are bot scripts, quite dumb ones as well. Give them a chance.

All tank parameters are rebalanced for the mode, this includes penetration values as well.

If the game was properly balanced, that would make perfect sense for PvP

Dumb?

I actually believe the opposite. Who would've thought fighting actual bots would be much harder than human beings?

Same reason why the allied tanks (at least some of them) got nerfed guns, HP pools and the AI gets higher tier tanks on top of numbers advantage: So the bots AI appears better than it really is.

You should see the angle at which those arties shoot xd...

i had one early that was shooting at me with the gun at a 90 degree angle pointing up at the sky XD

...

also might be me but those ferdis turn really fast.. and have insane gun arc (but once again that might just be me.. because i rarely see ferdis anymore)

Also nice when you play TD and Hummel taking around 50% off your hitpoints in one hit.

It's not harder than randoms. You can kill 8-10 of the reliably without dying unless your team mates completely fail. And there's less team mates than in randoms. And I don't kill 8-10 there reliably.

Everything is balanced differently. Even the pen values on the gun each of the player tanks have are not close to the tech tree variant. If the Pz IV did 110 damage, Panthers did 150 and the Tigers did 240. I suspect the difficulty curve would be way way easier, as you can take more risk and hits per life. Facing a Pz IV early on that does 80 damage on a low roll is... not that scary. Vs a group that can smack you for 150 each.
