From what I've seen players with tons of battles consider it useless and rightfully so, since it seems to be very focused on helping with progress - but what about new accounts? The more valuable crew books cost millions of credits and would be massive in setting up at least 1-2 skill crews on several lines and blueprints would be good in almost-skipping the occassional tank you don't enjoy, but at the same time - it seems like a lot of gold, unless books and blueprints are really scarce. Is it possible to get skill books through occassional events or missions, and similar quantities of blueprints too (probably over more battles but without paying for it)?

Well you got the answer right there,if you don't have the time/don't want  to grind credits in order to boost your fresh crews then i guess it's worth (although i still wouldn't recommend it,you can get recruits with bia default fairly quicky by doing the stug 4 missions).

The amount of BPs you get out of this was only topped by last year's holiday ops. Plus the other rewards are pretty great too. I don't regret buying it.

I see it as valuable for 3 reasons:

you get 3,500,000 credits which cost 8500 gold.

you get the blueprint and team crew progress books

you get a "improvable loading caliber"

Maaaaaaaaaybe for newer players.

But as someone who has finished all tech trees, sits on millions of credits, has all important tanks filled with 5+ skilled crews, has literally 1600+ boosters, has 20 or so extra recruitable crew members with extra skills etc, has like 30 or so different camouflages and hundreds of emblems, I find the battle pass rewards absolutely useless.

The only things that I find interesting are the unique 3D styles, which aren't really worth the price itself, let alone having to grind for it as well.

And also the improved equipment, but again, isn't worth the price + grind.

I find it hard to come up with anything actuallly interesting for me in a battle pass though.

I guess I'd rather just have bonds from the start, rather than all the useless garbage (for me) that's thrown in there.

What would you do with the bonds? improved equipment? Tanks? When you know out there , there is a FV B version of the FV version exchangeable for bonds,  which does 1000 dmg more, its useless

Worth it maybe if you have a crap ton of gold, and nothing else really to spend it.

Otherwise... not really.

I already own the FV 215B, the 183 and Foch 155. Had them all before they originally got removed from the tech tree.

I have already bought the M60 as well, and I do have enough bonds to potentially buy the 121B.

However, I am very confident that WG will be adding more tanks to the bond shop in the future.

So getting more bonds won't hurt, since I know that there are more than enough Clan Wars tanks that could potentially get added in the future:

-Chieftain

-VK 7201

-Obj 907

-IS-5

And many other tier 8, 9 and 10 tanks that I cannot 100% confirm if they were Clan Wars reward tanks, like the KV-4 Kreslavskiy, T95E6, Obj 777  and I believe also a tier 8 Chieftain.

I'm probably missing a few others as well. But I couldn't find a comprehensive list of all Clan Wars tanks.

But bottom line is that there's plenty of tanks that could potentially get sold for bonds in the future. So I don't have any problem with farming bonds in order to buy them when they get released to the bonds shop.

And even if WG would confirm that they'd not sell any of those tanks, I could still use the bonds for improved equipment, yes.

basically you get an improved piece of eq which you can demount for 10g instead of 200 bonds.

let's say you demount/remount it 30 times during it's lifetime - that's ~220g/demount of improved eq instead of 200 bonds. Is it worth...? Dunno. At this price I've passed. I'm considering the improved vents from road to berlin for 1.5k(basically skipping level 4 of the grind - I'm definitely not interested in the t7 shitter, so I value at 0 as I'll never play it anyway).

the books - those are definitely not worth paying gold for. 2M credits = 200k xp/crewmember = 3.5-4h grind in a premium tank(assuming you're new, hence pretty lousy at the game, so less credits/hour made).

bps - dunno. Hard to quantify given I'm drowning in them.

This is the worst trade deal in the history of trade deals. You can grind 3.5mil credits in a few days. 8500 gold is equivalent to just over 30 euros. The other rewards don't justify the 6500 gold it costs

Well worth it.

I flew through that event, got extra crew training that is worth it in my opinion, plus the extra BP's and bonded equipment, and it allowed me to take a break and have no pressure for game modes, come back and do front line, take a break again, come back and do Berlin.

Well I got a pop up telling me I had completed the missions & that for 6,500 gold for the improved pass, I could get all the extra stuff for missions I've already completed in the tree. I have a lot of gold just sat idle so I figured why not. The crew training books really helped me train up my crew for the Obj 430. I don't normally play Soviet tanks as I've no interest in them. But I decided I should at least own 1 tier 9/10 soviet tank & grinding was pretty quick with the 5x exp boosts per day, so my skill training failed to keep up.

So my view is, if you have the gold just sat doing nothing, sure, but only if you've finished it. Don't buy assuming you'll complete it if you can do so at the end once you have. But if you're going to have to go out & spend £23 on gold to do so, then no I don't think it's worth it.
