Light blue touch paper and stand well back, not talking about Rocket Launchers here Erwin but rather some forumites that may consider this a variant of arty....;)

Nice photo

One of the reasons why I reckon the Sherman was the greatest tank of WW2, and maybe the greatest tank of all time, was its amazing adaptability on a cheap and reliable chassis

There cannot be many other tanks that had variants for:

  • Field artillery
  • Self-propelled howitzer
  • Tank destroyer
  • Flame thrower
  • Armoured personnel carrier
  • Rocket artillery
  • Amphibious
  • Engineer
  • Recovery

And upgraded versions were still very effective in tank vs tank combat 30 years after they first saw action.

Now that wheeled vehicles are in the game, can I present this as counterproposal?

In case you go 'No wheeled vehicles! That thing has no armor!'

The Soviet Union still has you covered:

Meet the BM-8-24, an armored & tracked Katyusha rocket launcher

If you can think it, the russians made it. And if they didn't, the idea was too outlandish to begin with (but they likely made a design of it anyway)

I'd like the Calliope as an arty. Make it fire 12 rockets in one go with each 100 dmg but high pen. It would hit an area so it would discourage groups of tanks.Great mid tier aty tbh.
