So, I've been slowly doing the missions leading to the OBJ. 279 and came across mission Alliance-2 for the Excalibur (Stun 30 different enemy vehicles - arta mission). For the time being, I've skipped it, but says on Alliance-15 that I can't activate it because "Preceding missions in the set not fulfilled".

Do I have to do Alliance-2 in order to unlock Alliance-15? (I'm currently doing Alliance-13) Or is one skip ok?

Otherwise I can just do all the Bloc missions since I only need one more set to unlock Excalibur and Bloc doesn't require artas.

I'm definitely not going to play arta - because if you play arta you deserve to burn in hell while being repeatedly stabbed in your groin by scalpels while a 12 inch double ended black dildo is repeatedly rammed into your a$$- sorry I really hate sh!tters- clickers. Man the typos today kappa.

You either have to do it or use an "order" to fufill it.. yep it's WG if you want the reward you gonna have to take the pain.. Although I did get the 260 without doing a single arty mission (by choice)

I have the Chimera with not a single farty battle played, so yes it is possible to skip the stun missions with orders. However, to get the orders, you need to complete the .15 missions of the other sets with honours. And you will also need the Alliance.15 mission with honours to be able to skip all farty missions for Chimera. And also the same for the 279, which means I will need a lot of Aces to complete three sets... Just for the last set, Alliance or Union depending on how you apply the orders, 1st classes will be sufficient to finally get the 279...

How you apply the orders for 279 is up to you. Either apply one order to the Union stun mission and comlete that set with honours to unlock Alliance.15 - that's how I do it. Alternatively you can apply three orders to the Allane stun missions, do Alliance.15 with honouts to skip the Union farty mission - this might be the better way, if you think that Alliance tanks are easier to ace.

Just resist the urge to complete Alliance.15 with orders, because then you lack the order for the Union farty mission.

But all that 279 rambling is still far away for you, as you ask about Excalibur...

Snipping away the questionable part...

If you don't want to play arty for the missions, then you have to use the orders to skip the ones that require arty. Both personal mission campaigns have a way to be completed without playing arty, but just using arty to do at least some missions would make things much easier for you in the long run. Frankly this is a good way to design the missions as the wider variety of tanks you have, the easier the missions are, and frankly super easy for the most part.

For a while back I looked up the missions that require arty to be played, based on these you should be able to find the correct route through. It means of course that you can't use the orders to skip any other missions than arty missions, hence why it's much easier in the long run to just do the easy arty missions.

So basically to start off, for Excalibur you have to complete 3/4 sets with honours to skip the arty missions in Alliance and then complete Alliance 15 with honours. And from there, it should be easy to figure out.

Excalibur:

Union: no missions
Bloc: no missions
Alliance: 2, 8, 14
Coalition: no missions

Chimera:

Union: 12
Bloc: no missions
Alliance: 3, 6, 14
Coalition: no missions

279e:

Union: 14
Bloc: no missions
Alliance: 5, 9, 11
Coalition: no missions

Mind you, if you skip arty missions, you will have to complete all the others. And some of them are way worse than clicking...

I would skip Union #13 on the 279 if I could. The #14 is really easy to do unless you got no arty.

Sadly, if I skip any mission I won't have enough orders for the 279, as I'm only doing a single set.

For the 279 mission sets I made me a list to plan a little bit, where to apply the orders, which tanks (of the ones in my garage!) to use for certain missions etc.

279_mission_plan.JPG

Blue are already completed missions and the tanks with which I did it, purple is the Alliance.15 from Chimera order I already used on the Union farty mission, red are the Alliance farty missions where I need the orders from the other three sets...

Yesterday I was one bounce away from completing Union.4 :arta:

Hell is an imaginary place and only a fraction of the people on earth even believe that fairytale.

You are 100% safe to play SPGs.
