old trusted and mature people do not play wot

Care to explain the demographics of the WoT playerbase?

What categories of society do players fall into?

Yes, great idea! One of the missing pieces for Dingers (WoT) world domination.

CM as a Dinger? check!

Dingers as forum moderators? check

Dingers soon as replay screeners & banhammer-wielders? oh, check please!

:P

Seriously though, I can see the pros, but I dont see them outweighing the cons in this suggestion.

9/10 for a new idea I havent seen yet though. So well done OP. :great:

I beg to differ. As long as you don't consider my wifes opinions in these matters, I think I have a strong claim to tick all the boxes.

Even if we take this arbitrary example; we'd be looking at around... 80×24=1920 battles per day that need reviewing.

Assuming that each battle lasts 6 minutes and has to be reviewed in its entirety, then we're looking at around... 192 hours per day that needs to be reviewed.

And with the peer review suggestion, that likely means 192 hours divided by X amount of people who can be arsed to do so.

So how many highly skilled players do you think are willing to even participate in this? Ten? A Hundred? Over eight thousand?

I think the idea of replay reviews is presented with good intentions, but impossible to execute.

I won't go there because feelings would be hurt and I will get forum ban. Let's just say that usual stereotypes in this matter apply to vast majority of population.

well I'm not yet married and my girlfriend knows that I'm not yet ready to commit fully. When I'll be ready, we will get married and than there won't be any time for gaming because we will start a family.

And that is mature in my opinion. So your wife is right

What about:
1. Nationality discrimination (your judge really hates a certain nationally)?

2. Sees a fellow clan member? (Cant say that all would be impartial. Unless they redact names and just put "suspect" for their user name)

3. On this forum I see people with amazing stats and battle counts. Still act like babies and call anyone who bested them a cheater.

(This expert's thread was just above yours). Do you want this guy to decide what is cheat?!

In theory good idea. In practice, WOT community is a cesspool. (Both forum and in game)

Of course you don't see the "suspect's" name, clan tag or nationality. That would be stupid. And it isn't about one player. Maybe 50 players need to review a case before it's closed.

Because this one is jaded, cynical, and grumpy.

I honestly don’t see any pros for either the players or WG as CS already bans players for physics abuse when a replay is supplied. What would change besides who does the banning?

As the title says, why doesnt WG try and create a system where they start selecting a few trusted, mature, old players and make them review replays sent through the tickets, so all the players who push and block get punished?

These reviewers could get rewarded with some gold for their time.

Pros, cons?

The players, who pushs team mates do not get any punishments, that I have monitored with my case. I oped a ticket, it has been closed with answer, the player will get punished. But in the reality it is not.
