Evgeniy Kryshtapovich the regional publishing producer has confirmed

"This year, two nations will be updated with new tanks"

He does not say when.

I assume one new line at about Christmas time as when the Swedish line coincided with Christmas it bought a huge spike in player numbers.

My guesses?

(a.) Japanese Tank Destroyer line (they already exist in WoT Blitz),

(b.) UK Wheeled Vehicle line.

(c.) New USSR three crew heavy line (fits Object 780 and crew trainer IS3A).

Outside chance - South American mixed country line. USA medium line. New UK heavy line (hence the Valiant). New French heavy line (Lorraine 50t). Italian Heavy line. Polish medium line (using USSR clones - because Poland makes up a large percentage of the EU player base).

Italian HTs were mentioned by WG last year, so expect them this year

Japanese TDs are a possibilty too and Polish Tanks (mediums?) were mentioned in a recent Q&A also.

I'm personally not convinced the new tanks on Supertest (the 780 Included) are actually going to be part of new lines. I also doubt anything to do with a South American line, at most I imagine we'll see something like that in the collector vehicles instead considering they hinted at the possibility of such.

My cards are on Italian heavies and Japanese TDs, with Polish mediums as a close third (in fact I feel we're likely to see them before Japanese TDs).

If I remember correctly it was said recently that Japanese TD's are not coming this year for PC.

Thanks for clarifying, I missed that article then. ;)

Any general idea when the news on the first line will be announced?

Granted I'm only interested in them for remodels and stuff. If they have similar stats to Blitz, I can't say I'm interested in actually playing them.

New tanks are generally speaking a good thing (will just pretend the pre nerf japanese heavies werent a thing). What tanks could an italian heavy line consist of? I know as WG add more and more tanks most of them are going to be blueprint tanks at most but I can't think of any Italian heavy tanks.

God f... damn it, I knew it, guess I'm cursed to wait yet another year for them. Not surprised at this point, but hey better late than never...as long as they happen some day, already waited almost 7 years now ;__;

I think all WG said in their QA is "not yet", but guess it means "not this year" which makes more sense.

I think the two lines are more or less confirmed at this point, if the Japanese TDs are out of the game - Italian heavies and another Polish branch, which is very, very likely mediums (why the heck would they introduce Polish TDs before Japanese TDs?).

If Polish MTs have somewhat similar style to heavies but as mediums then I'm actually interested in them, and new heavy line is most likely something I'd grind anyway so both Italian HTs and Polish MTs could be interesting, even though it still makes me sad that they are coming before Japanese TDs (which wouldn't even take much effort to put in now that Blitz has them, unless the line planned for PC is completely different).

I just want to see Japanese TDs before my interest in this game completely dies out...

I highly doubt WG wants to introduce more wheelies considering how much hate the Frenchies already get, so UK wheeled vehicle line can pretty much be left out.

Object 780 is absolutely not the part of a new line, its most likely a CW reward or somthing. Same goes for the Lorraine 50t, why would they introduce another heavy line very similar to one that already exists in-game? Its clearly a reward tank (or tier 9 premium but who knows).

2nd UK HT line is possible but again, I highly doubt that Valiant is part of a new line, most likely just a low tier premium (or maybe they are adding more collector's vehicles?)

From what has been said, they're basically going to be heavy versions of the Progetto line. I don't expect a fully separate line, just a small branch going off after T6 or T7.

Japanese TDs have been declined for the forseeable future by WG as far as I know.

I suspect the second line will be wheeled vehicles for another nation (German, British, US), coming when/after they made whatever changes they're planning for WV mechanics.

Any new lines whatever they are (except more wheels!!) would be good.  I haven't bought a tank from the tech tree or premium since well before Christmas as there's nothing that really does it for me at the moment.

You can guess OFC it will be yet another Russian HT tree - cause we dont have enough of those yet....

But Italian HTs and Jap TDs would be nice - and those are what to be most likely.

But I sure would like to see a Swedish SPG tree - ofc with the Bandkanon 1 as tier X (yes it was a real tank, built on Strv 103 chassis, and used by Swedish Armed Forces), dual drum mag fed 155mm being able to shoot 15 rounds in 45seconds, with a 2min reload.

unless they balance the wheelies before they introduce more.

there are plenty of ideas on how to balance them so it's a possibility.

on another note, the UK does deserve a decent scout line cause the current one is bollocks.
