Who will get banned and or demonetised first? Sirfoch for his name? ClausKellerman for his language? QuickyBaby for using voice chat?

Sorry, but what is this even about?

Also, SirFoch is obviously a reference to Ferdinand Foch...

They made what comes down to a censor group so as to avoid responsibility, and all these groups (on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube) seem to do is (make up what offends them) then ban or demonetize content makers.

Ah, well, https://blog.twitch....visory-council/

Read the CVs and one of the panel wants to have voice chat removed from games so everyone has a no game advantage and tell me you don't see a problem here?

They did the same on other platforms and the content maker bans started happening within the month.

So I'm just asking as it will happen..  who will be done first?

Platforms such as Twitch are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

If they introduce restrictions and policing then they will be accused of stifling free expression.

If they don't then they will be accused of creating a playground for illegal activities by the same people.

Where I grew up we were peer taught you can do and talk as you liked unless it infringed physically on others. (sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never harm me) It worked until you got the permanently offended looking for trouble, and the only way to cope with that type is to just ignore them and never give them authority. Give them an inch and they will never stop demanding more, and the law where they are based states the platform is a 'market square of talk' that don't break real laws not an edited platform like TV, and they gain legal protection and tax breaks for being that.

I quite like the above streamers now and again; I'd hate to see them silenced for the sake of the children who shouldn't be watching said content if the parents disapprove.

I wouldn't like to see mod cheaters vids banned as its the best way for Staff to have evidence to in-game ban them and stop the hack

I will turn that around and say that the permanently offended are now the ones who believe they should be able to say what they like.  They seem to get offended at every suggestion that they might be causing offence.

They are safe, and justified (IMHO), behind the mighty shield of self-righteousness!

Well, so was rickets.

and what type of game would we have 'if these people make the games rules'?

Imagine the conversation

They need to fix the RNG

Let's just remove it as random is just too unfair

So every shell has to be a kill shot?

No far too violent, we need every shot to bounce off harmlessly

Bushes need to be safe spaces too

This is exactly what I mean, getting worked up about something that isn't happening.

I don't know... there have been quite a few things that did get removed from games because of the offended. Like blood in German games. They made it zombie green for Carmageddon. Or there was the child getting lost and found in a well quest in Fallout 2 which was removed from the UK version of the game.

If the committee decide don't like something seen in Twitch videos, it might just have a knock on effect into the game.

edit

It seems the Trans-Dear in the committee has caused such an outrage by what was said to gamers Twitch has rolled back the powers they first said offered to them all, they now are only advisory powers.
