Im sure this is quite common, premium consumables being given out left right and centre but still rocking the cheap ones because 'I might need it more later' or 'this stuff works fine anyway'. That's how I feel at least. Is it worth buying premium consumables in bulk when they're on offer? Is a large health kit much better than the small one? With this new fangled 90s cooldown nowadays. And what about food? I once burned through a few hundred thousand coins after thinking it was a one time purchase

Premium consumables usually come with "pasive components" like 10% less chance for fire in the case of PFE for example so they are worth it depending on what you drive.

And usually it is better to buy them in bulk when they are on offer .How much you end up saving depends on how much you spend. The same applies for food.

Fire extinguisher I find is the only premium one that's worth it on every tank (that you're not running food on).

I get through a repair kit pretty much every battle and a first aid kit maybe every 5 so the costs would soon rack up on those. In contrast I catch fire maybe 1 in 20 games?

I stock up with most sales. Currently have around a thousand repair/med kits, both normal and premium (quite a few of those as rewards actually).

Automatic fire extinguishers only (around 500 in stock).

And I stock up on food as well, for use when over second mark or in high tiers. Food is IMO not worth it if you don't already have a base ability that it can improve - it enhances across the board, but that also makes it most effective when you are using the tank already near its limits. So if you don't pull your weight in tier 8 and up food is more just another credit sink than an actual improvement to your performance.

I have big repair/med on t10s; but that's because I have 1k of each laying around all the time. I hate t10 gameplay so not playing much t10 anyway...

both are pretty debatable; but depends on how you're playing. For instance I used to run 2 repair kits on bc t9. One of those tanks that can be tracked and engined. But truth to be said, I didn't need 2 repair kits; I needed to time better my peaks.

probably big repair is worth on tanks that can be tracked and engined. And maybe on turretless tds; when you really need the repair speed.

big med... for instance I'm considering big med on st1/e75. They both seem to get multiple crewmembers knocked out by arty. And it's not like you can be "discreet" when you're the size of a barn.

But again... I'd say it's on a tank by tank basis. For instance, on 430(one of my initial t9s together with bc) I was considering running 2 fire extinguishers because I was burning a lot. Now I'm running food and have no problem. Again... was playing badly bad then; now I learnt a bit. And so on.

food... guess I have over 50M in food. I'm a hoarder; as I think I play more than half of the games in tanks on which I don't run food.

It's nice to have a 'pimped' tank, though it's likely that only automatic FEs are 'worth it'. Why not go 'all in' with a tank that you like playing, but needs a bit more 'oomph'? :)

Chrissakes, are you back? That showerhead has given me plenty a nightmare.

Also, on-topic,what the creepy showerhead guy said. :(

Most people on this forum accept that people 'hoard' tanks, paid for in hard currency - why would it even be an issue that you're keeping some consumables (likely bought to be sold at no loss) on stock? Why you are such a darn smart lad, that's what I'm asking. :)

I use automatic fire extinguisher but only small repair and medi kit.

For me, thats the best balance in order not to burn too many credits.

And I only use food on my Standard B where I have crew with firefighting trained.

Hoard? No. Keep a decent running stock so I can survive until the next 50% sale? Yes.

I stock up 1k AFE, large med and repairs and 500 of each food each time

Pretty much the same for me. I buy enough to last me for the next 50% off.

I kinda also sell the AFE's, Larg Rep kits, and large med kits. Never really bothered to check how many i have, but once i did, and hit me  those thousands of prem consumables that i mentioned are wasting away(the things really pile up with all the daily rewards and missions ). Sold most of them, and kept a sensible number  that i was sure will last me long enough.

I use auto fire extinguishers on almost all my tanks and the large repair/med kits on some.

I never need to buy them though and often sell large repair and med kits to raise credits.

the auto fire extinguisher is the only one i use on all my tanks along with small medkit and small repair kit.

large med and repair are absolutely not worth it for an average f2p guy like me.

same for food. yes it does give a bonus but spending 10k on it is not justified when you thing about the fact that i'm not that good to take advantage of the extra 2.5%.

every once in a while i sell excess food and large repair/med. in fact that's how i could get enough funds for 2 tier X last week. :)

i also keep a stock of about 500 auto fire extinguishers and 1k each of small repair/med kit. this easily lasts me until next 50% off when i replenish the stocks.

Same as others, only the fire one.

I use premium only when playing clan events.

And yes it serves as a bank, you can sell them when you need credits.

I run large repair kit on a lot of higher tier tanks, I think it's nice to cut off a bit of the track repair time, might save you from getting artied or taking another shot once in a while, also very handy when you get an annoying module damage combination, such as track+engine, gun+ammo rack or ammo rack+fuel tanks (if i run food on a tank I generally want to repair fuel tanks, since it feels like otherwise you will catch fire 9/10 times on the next shot). I currently have like 1200 of the large medkit/extinguisher/repair kit, and about 300 of each food.

I use premium consumables exclusively because I can afford to do so and maintain a credit balance so if you can do the same there's no reason not to. Frontline and similar events are great for building up a credit stock.

Overall it depends entirely on your own ability to keep your credits up and if you are planning to save for any future tank purchases etc.

I'd say it depends on how competetive you are.

If you don't care much about performing as optimal as you possibly can, don't bother buying premium consumables.

Otherwise, I would highly recommend buying (mass on discount) and using premium consumables for the matches that you want to be extra competetive in.

For those not used to plumbing the depths of the internet, this may explain or make things worse depending on your sensitivities.

And yes, that avatar needs banning - simply because it's nightmare inducing not because it isn't clever or that it breaks any rules.

I spent over 40 mil credits on kits and food at  the christmas sale .  The stuff  is 1/2 price and i'm going to use them anyway over time  so i call that a win/win situation . You just need the credits
