Hi Guys!

Can someone explain why I get lighted up first with TD Ts-5 + cammo + cammo on crew + standing still + optic Vs 50m from me 704 + moving?

Take care!

24k matches and you don't know you just got "Proxy Spotted" ?   Anything 50m or less is automatically spotted no matter where you hide.

Spotting Range

Spotting Range is the maximum distance at which you will detect/spot an enemy tank if you have line of sight.

Minimum Spotting Range

You will always spot any vehicle that comes within 50m of you, regardless of line of sight. Because you do not need line of sight, this is also called proximity spotting, and can be used on certain maps to spot enemies going past a choke-point without actually being exposed to them.

50m away? You should have picked up on that by now, that 50m is automatic spotting, regardless of how much camo you have.

Even then, camo is only a tool to counter view range. The more the enemy have, the further away they can see you. Standing still or not.

As for why you were spotted first / simultaneously, probably because you were after a heap of bushes (or behind a building or rock) that completely blocked your line of sight.

Why are you so inactive that an enemy 704 can drive up to 50m in front of you?

Were you trying to be a passive spotting light tank in your TS-5 or what?

Replay for a correct answer instead of guessing based on the mechanics.

If you were shot by a tank you couldn't see, you were:

a) blindshotted

b) spotted by the tank shooting

c) spotted by another tank

If you couldn't see a tank, you were:

a) having insufficient view range to see him at the distance he was+camo

b) blind as a bat because your vision was blocked by bushes or buildings

Also note that having part of your tank out of cover can get it spotted, while your vision ports are blocked by said cover. In other words, they can spot you, and you cannot spot them.

However, at 50m, you become visible to each other automatically. If this was not the case, the distance was bigger.

Sorry for incomplete information. I was battle against a 704, shoting every second round. Finally he hide behind a stonewall and I was aiming and waiting for him to come out, but he was never upligthed until I was dead. So that means he moved to firing position without getting uplighted.

Did he drive out from behind the wall on the other side?

You relaly need to provide a replay for us to be able why the 704 was not spotted.

No replay + pathetic effort made towards describing the situation with text leads me to believe the problem is you.
