Felt like making a poll, interested to hear feedback and maybe someone from WG can see this as direct consumer feedback.

 

It would also help keep this thread visible if people can spare a min to reply their opinions, so more people get to see this and contribute their thoughts, ty.

The premium rounds question lacks some answers imo. All options have their issues. Reducing damage is a buff for all heavily armored vehicles.
Making them more expensive or for gold only makes it more pay to win.
Imo, ideally, in game economy should not be affecting any performance parameter like penetration or damage. That's a utopia though and also the reason why after 10 years you can still (indirectly) buy better shells with real money.

Imo, the options for your first questions are really good, the question about maps could have some more options.

Yes more maps and variety within them not just 3 coridors should be an option also.  Also maybe arty limiting options 1/2/3 or give us arty platoons back.

 

One thing I really miss is the abilityto have mixed tiers in a platoon (within MM protocol)

Arty should be reverted to 9.17 and limited to 1.

 

Wheelies should be nerfed, made their own class, and limited as well as mirrored mm.

I want old maps back, BUT also completely new maps.

 

feel like WG should just work heavily on a ‘map’ patch, release a bunch of new maps in one go with some old ones redone also

4. Alter the MM so that pref MM premium tanks more frequently see 3/5/7 with them at the top.

 

5. Bring back team battles and 7v7.

Yes yes, cuz making SPGs also spot tanks from the back of the map is surely something the community wants...

To be honest, i don't mind premium rounds (I normally load up with about 10% but try not to use them if possible). However, lately I've been randomized with a tier V against tier VII far too often. After, sometimes, ten or more "no penetration" hits on a single hull with standard ammo you really have no choice but to use them. A lower credit cost but a limit of numbers you can carry would go a lot further to balance the game.

You can make it so the star shell lowers the camo rating of the illuminated tanks (both friend and foe) so that they are easier to spot but there still needs to be someone actually spotting them. :popcorn:

For me, making friendly arty stun a penalty. And shifting focus on maps, as in more styles and types for variation would go a long way to make me happier over most other stuff.

 

As other issues don't annoy me to no end like it does with most. Arty and wheels I feel is all over the place. Some should be nerfed like the M44 and the EBR 90 and 105. Others you feel don't make the impact they should like the AMD and the 304. And you don't really fear them the same way. Tier 9 and X EBR should get a view range nerf IMO, and all wheels should have at least a 25% speed penalty per wheel, vs the 5% it has now on one wheel.

 

Premium ammo? Don't feel it gets used vs me as much as some feel it might be to make me annoyed. I use it too now and then to annoy others I'm sure. But I feel some suggested changes on it will just shift power the wrong way, and take the meta back vs sending it forward. Inc a load cap and a massive damage reduction.... if most tanks are left as is that is. Inc the IS-6. As 30% on that facing a Defender that doesn't need gold is the new issue then. You can't pen anything with AP on that lane, so you are faced with 1200 dpm vs 2300 DPM 220 pen tanks. It's not gonna end well. You want to give a penalty to those that press 2 just because, not the one that presses 2 because he has no other option.

The only thing WG really needs to address are losing streaks. The game may be infinitely unbalanced, unfair, pay to win and so on, but if players are allowed to win once in at least 3-4 matches they will continue playing. Positive motivation is the thing.

artillery needs some buffs again, especially better maneuverability and reticle size on (turret) traverse

as currently it is very hard next to impossible to defend against WV / LT

 

also more (old) maps like port with many destructible objects are very much welcome.

I dont remember that map by name, but i think i remember one old map with SO many ways to go... i miss that :(

I really want maps with loads of ways to flank.

BUT!!! This needs some light tank balancing... we cant have them

So if I had three matches in which I tried my best (which is not very good, but still...) but which were a loss, during the next battle I can just alt-tab to watch a "nature movie" and WG will give me a victory regardless of what I do? :popcorn:

Well, my biggest bug bears are:

- Removal of weakspots and over-amoring of tanks, thus increasing the compulsory nature of premium ammo.

- Bad map design exasperated since 1.0 where almost every map now has broken TD ridges near base covering big open fields that are very hard to even get close to. Just too many literal and metaphorical corridors.

- Arty stunning just killing the pace of battles.

- As for matchmaking, stop artificially punishing platoons by giving them harsher MM.This served a purpose years ago and that purpose has now gone (unequal amount of platoons per team)

- Stop artificially handicapping higher tier (8+) light tanks with progressively worse penetration, viewrange and accuracy.
