So It's been a while since WG changed the currency from bonds to silver. I stocked up on a lot of Fire Fighting for bonds but recently i noticed i was being charged 20k each game as i had the directive on a few tanks and i had run out of stock. Clearly 20k is crazy and therefore i now don't use them; instead I'm working my way through the other free ones i have until such a point they run out and i just stop using them.

Do others think differently?

I mostly don't use directive. Used some 6th sense on LTs with fresh crew, but nothing else, so still have a lot of them stocked up.

But I agree 20k is really a lot!

I think 3-5k should be enough.

I only use the free ones.

Like food they are a bonus not a requirement.

If you use food @20k then using FF directive also @20k(?) seems very tempting, but you have a 40k bill before you even fire a shot or take a single hit.

I'm really not sure what price they should be tbh, maybe WG got this just right?

20K is what premium consumables cost. If 20K for a directive is crazy then it is because it is too cheap, they should be more expensive than the former gold consumables.

Why should them be more expensive than food? Food boost all the vehicle stats by increasing the main qualification by 10%. On the other hand directive just add a small bonus to a skill (or enable it if not active) for one battle. Doesn't look so strong compared to food.

2 bonds for firedirective was fine, or 3-5k creds. but the current 20k for it is stupidly expensive and make absolute 0 sense. used them before and now utter rarely as its plain 20k creds down the drain with minimal return value

Only use the free ones, I consider 20k way to expensive.

It's just a another credit sink to suck credits from players and make it take longer to grind up the tech tree.......and push players to buy premium time.

I have hardly ever used them. In fact I'm barely aware that they exist.

I really cannot understand why they were changed from payment in bonds, is it too complicated for them to be bought either with bonds or credits? Why not both? Anyway, I dont buy them for credits it is too much.

I guess it comes down to how much you consider to be the credit equivalent of one bond.

For example if WG offered you 500 bonds for 5,000,000 how many would take it if you consider how long it would take to earn that many bonds playing versus the time to earn that many credits?

When I had the ammo rammer booster that would reduce loading time I used them until they were gone.  Now I'm expected to burn 12 bonds on each of them which is not going to happen.

Nope I agree they should be like 3k like normal consumables. 20k no chance they dont offer enough for that price.

Only time I ever used directives is for sixth sense for crappy crews. I'm more annoyed I can't just sell them.

Just today I noticed 15 Camo directives left in depot, hence bougth 100x ar 1.8m credits, all good for me.

Yeah, i do use directives, havent bought any crew directives, as i still have some, from the old times. But i have probably spent around 20-22k bonds on equipment directives(mostly rammer, vents, optics) have enough bounty/improved equipment units anyway, i find it more useful to use directives on any tank you like, rather than having single equipment unit alone. just few days ago had ~3k bonds, they seem to stock up quite fast nowadays, with all the bonus missions and stuff.

As for the crew directives, i find useful only 2 or 3. camo directive is actually brokenly good, gives way too high bonus, firefighting directive is useful as well, 3rd one, idk 6th sense directive, but it was never worth the bond price, let alone 20k silver. Dont get the reasoning of why they changed it to credits, more silver draining i guess. Bond price was too high for some of the crew directives, but i would not decrease the price on camo directive for example.

Some directives, such as the one which gives 6th sense are a bargain, others not so much.

Having said that I have not yet been in the position of having to purchase any.

I have a few hundred of each from 2 seasons of FL and other events, inc 400+ 6th sense. I use some like focus on target on MOE grinds that needs assist, 6th sense on new crews.  I use steady hand on a light or two. Even Shell organizer on a few tanks, that was enough to eliminate their ammo rack issues almost completely on top of the crew skill already there. I use vents and rammer on a few too.

But as they all are on 400 to 120+ still. I've yet to have the need to spend silver on anything, or even bonds initially. But at the same time, I don't see why we could not use both bonds and silver to pay for them, vs just silver. As for a returning player, seeing 2000 bonds from loyalty rewards, and no tanks with 6th sense yet. It did help loads. As a mate of mine that did return did use it to help him do LT missions easier on crews that lacked the skill "pre-books mind you". As he needed the silver to save up for tanks.
