which would be better 

 

GC or T92

 

or would the E3/60 tp be better With High explosive then arty?

 

30 in ten battles. Had one go at this a few days back with arty and got to 22.


Also do gold rounds on the arty make the chances of getting a critical better?

The answer to your question is just no, since most gold ammo for arty only meddles with radius or penetration, not module damage.

I used FV4005, was easy, get a couple of pens or put somebody on fire and mission is done with honours.

Yes and no. No they won't increase the % chance on a direct hit or full pen. But they do add to the splash radius on a ground hit. So you might get more out of it if you splash a group vs a lone target if you will with gold. As when an HE shell splashes the ground, he creates a circle. The bigger the splash, the bigger the circle. Anything in that circle gets a 45-degree damage cone sent towards them. Any module in that cone has a chance to take damage. And since gold has more splash... well, you see the point. But internal modules with arty needs a direct hit vs a splash to get the numbers going tbh.

 

As for options? Well you can go 152 on the T49 and aim your shots vs going from the hip to make sure you get a pen on some targets. You can try the FV with full HESH...

 

Or take out your UK tanks with high pen HESH in their HE slot "not gold ammo". As most of the tier 8+ UK tanks have HE pen equal their caliber. So the Charioteer, Cent 7/1 and AX has 105mm HE pen. The Conway, Conq and Tortoise have 120mm HE pen. The coalition has a similar mission. And for that, most used the 105mm HE pen Standard B to do that mission with relative ease. As 105 or 120mm is enough to pen most mediums on the side, and the rear of most HTs to cause major module damage if you're lucky.
