Possibly, although the Lee was fairly rubbish.

This is not fair.

They should compare same tier vehicles.

The only good thing I can say about the Lee (or the Grant) is it featured in a reasonably good film with Bogart as the tank commander!

when a companies introduce their new weapon it's performance is usually showcased against a older competitor and yes usually something is picked that is definetly inferior.

assuming this video is from such a demonstration run a Lee might also actually be the best western allies tank available for comparison given aside from the afrika campaign there was no way for the germans to actually lay their hands on anything new and getting stuff across the mediterain was difficult enough let alone cart a captured tank back to a harbor.

Well, to be fair, the Lee was pretty much a stop-gap measure until murika could produce a real tank, namely the Sherman.

Mostly because Murika literally didn't have anything close to a real tank when WWII broke out, unlike most other countries.
