Well I intentionally played to complete the first stage. Then I looked at the rewards, if you can call them rewards. The bulk of these so called "Rewards" requires you to spend real money to celebrate Wargaming's 10th Anniversary, which is a bit of a slap in the face if you ask me. The last time I celebrated something in my life, I booked a hall for 300+ people, with a DJ, tons of food & an open bar I paid for myself. I didn't ask my guests to help pay for their invite & stay, it would be insulting.

Anyways, at that point I kinda lost interest really as a skin for a tier 9 tank I don't have nor do I wish to have. Decals that are way too expensive & if you play the game looking at your decals, then that explains the performance of tier 8+ teams. Directives that are also damn expensive & last 1 game only, unless I'm mistaken with that?? Nothing actually useful to suggest a thank you from WG for playing the game. No thank you for players who've been playing for years like myself on & off. I've been playing since day 1, yes my account for EU is newer, but that was because back then, it wasn't very clear about regional servers & I accidentally registered & played on NA server, until patch 7. made it impossible to play on those servers so I started again on EU.

I would of liked something more meaningful which is based on how long players have been playing, not the same reward for everyone. Something that says thank you for playing for x years. Thank you for sticking with us to help create the game into what it is today. Scratch that, I don't think anyone would of liked WG to be what it is today having played before they turned it into a money pit of p2w platform. But you know, here's a thank you from WG. Not an offer for us to spend more money on the game because it has a discount. A discount I've seen bigger during different parts of the year prior to this event.

So that said, I discovered I completed the 2nd phase unintentionally & have 2 keys. I suspect the next stages will get harder & harder. But is anyone else playing specifically to complete these missions or are they just playing normally & complete them as a coincidence of you playing?

Honestly, I have no idea - too many missions and sich going on for me to care.

I have zero interest in playing the T30, no interest in grinding it and buying it, so I have zero interest in the “Big reward” the T30 3D skin.

However...

We’re on phase 2 now and so far I have gotten - absolutely free- the following:

- A skin for my KV-220

- A skin for my TOOOOOOGGGGG

- 2 x “map” camo from phase 1

- 3 x “map” camo from phase 2

- 8 decals

All just for playing no more than normal. The price of a normal style is 750g. The price of a decal is 50g. So total so far:

7 x 750g + 8 x 50g = 5.450g worth of customisation elements. If that trend continues, by the end of stage 5 that’ll be 13,125 gold worth of customization elements for free. I haven’t bought a single package.  So I’m happy with that and not bothered about the skin at all - which I’ll probabl get anyway, just by playing normally..

Also keep in mind there may be surprises in store for us later.

WG has given long term players a reward for that last year (Super Hellcat) and the year before (T-50-2). They have also stated several times that there WILL be a reward again for that this year (September iirc?) and that that is not connected to and separate from the Anniversary celebrations

Nope if it happens it happens but free stuff is always nice. In the last 10 years WG have been very generous with free Tshirts etc.

I grabbed the 2 map camos so far. I also didn't realise there would be more stuff and splurged all my other tokens at the time on the XP boosters so hopefully there isn't something at the end I can't afford now.

I haven't played anywhere near as long as you but isn't what you want the "well deserved reward" thing they do? I remember everyone getting loads of free stuff last year including the Super Hellcat and I got absolutely zilcho cause I was too new.

This is already a thing the past two years. People get rewarded at the end of the year based on how long they play. long time players often get a tank out the deal. The tanks have been nudges to past glories, from a different time;(super)hellcat & T-50-2. Also other stuff & older players get the better rewards.

Current anniversary event is meant to reward everyone in WoT, old & new players alike, so customizable stuff seems best for it, with nudges & hints to past things (KV split decal, Dragon's ridge decal, teleport decals etc).

And its been easy to rack up anniversary points, so you can buy the ones you like, even if you're a casual player.

Oh, I wondered where my Super Hellcat & T-50-2 came from. But did everyone get them or was it specific to the term people have been playing? So someone 8+ yrs would have a better reward than someone who's only been playing a year?

Also, I've not purchased anything using my coins. I have 950 so far so I will wait until near the end to decide what to spend them on. But will these coins expire or be usable for other things??

Up until this moment, I didn't even realise how many coins I have.

Wondering if it's worth saving them?

So you're saying you would be more pleased if they had the anniversary in one day with all the rewards and got it over with? Vs over the course of months getting stuff little by little? Perhaps, but then again we don't know what more stuff awaits besides that T30 skin and tokens for camo.

And sure you don't want them to pay for anything when you have a party. But your party guest were friends etc, not paying customers paying your salary. Slight difference. Thus there will be a business aspect along with it. Then again, what expectation did your 300 guest have when they got to your celebration. Free food, or gifts that would amaze vs one you don't need?... like a T30 skin? As atm. That's what you are doing. You are a complaining guest not liking the food he got in a free party when he did not buy the VIP pack.

You get the missions done by playing. I suspect most don't focus on them unlike personal missions. But take it as a bonus as we go along. Nothing wrong with that atm.

So far I got the sense of direction camos, along with the KV-5 Fortress one, and the two old map decals.

The older your account is, the better the rewards you got.
