Heyo :)

well after watching a video about artillery bombartment and Churchill Crocodiles. where the effect of them when used against the enemy is psychological.

as soldiers who were stuck in bombartment they sometimes did not carry on fighting as they were in no shape to carry on because they were in shock.

i started thinking does the World of Tanks psycholigical warfare in it?

not in the sense of making people afraid or panic.

but making people Rage, Rage quit and Give up.

we see it here in the forums every time. ''i stopped playing this game because Arty/EBR's''

isnt that psycholigical in a sense?

a player broke the other players fighting sipirit and made him surrender, the player no longer wants to carry on playing the game because he Rage quit/gave up, there for he has psychologically been defeated. and we see the effect of that here in the forums where players post a rant that they quit.

i've even seen players to throw in their tank when they see no way to win. just point your turret backwards or in the air drive towards the enemy and let them kill you, i give up.

seen this few times when playing the KV-220-2 & KV-2 the enemy player just stops caring and drives to the open and even turns his rear armour towards me and lets me just end his suffering.

so i think, Yes, world of tanks has psychological warfare in it.

but what do you think?

here are the videos that made me think this way:

Spoiler

Yes, just make XVM the way it used to be then players will quit before the match even starts :D

yes, if you know you stand no chance of winning against team of 55% winrate players with a team of 45% players you could just give up right there and then, it affects you psychologically.

armies have surrenderd because they saw no way to win, so they either ran away or surrenderd.

Well, all warfare has a psychological element as long as it has a human element.

Oh! Sven Väth! Such nostalgia... It took forever for us to realise he was not singing "assfinder" but "pathfinder" instead... :D

wishing your team good luck at the beginning of the game, some people really get freaked out by that.

Psy warfare British style

1940......London survives bombing with the blitz spirit enabling us to carry on with grit and determination.

1944........I know let's bomb Dresden, that'll crush thier spirit.

I'll keep this one, I suspect I'll change it back once the fun of getting hilarious PM's runs out.

I figured it was his way of telling everyone on the Forum he is Olias and the name change is just his contribution to the saltmines ;)
