couple of questions regarding how crew skill work on t8+ swedish tds:

1. snap shot - given that the gun doesn't move - is this skill working or not when in siege mode? I mean, turning your tank while in siege mode counts as... turret traverse? Because tanks.gg quotes a 0.1 dispersion penalty on "turret traverse". Only that the tank has no gun arc.

2. clutch breaking/off road increase your traverse in siege mode? I imagine they work perfectly fine during normal movement, but I'm interested in siege mode

When in siege mode, the vehicle counts as a hull and as a turret.

So there's dispersion on rotating the "turret".

So clutch breaking works.

So camo net doesn't break as it's only a "turret" turning.

I thought I knew the answers but I didn't have proof.  I used the in game comparator thingy

  • Clutch braking doesn't show as affecting aim time, gun traverse speed or dispersion, so I guess there's no effect
  • Snap shot isn't quoted as a performance enhancing skill so again I guess there's no effect
  • binocs and camo are unaffected by rotating in siege mode:  which is handy!

@spurtung - ty.

@malairt - the trouble with the ingame thingy is I don't know how to make it show the stats for siege mode.

- turret traverse is affected by both clutch and offroad. But again, don't know if it applies in siege mode. As the bloody thing doesn't have a checkbox for siege mode.

- snap shot doesn't show anywhere in the ingame thingy as it affects dispersion on turret traverse. Which isn't listed in the thingy to begin with...
