It was noticed especially in Frontline, but not exclusively.

When you drive to the position of the enemy marker, the map will not be refreshed, the false marker will stay on the map.

Game was started in safe mode without mods.

...?

Markers for previously spotted tanks has always stayed in the same place until they are spotted again elsewhere.

It's a bug in FL.

Sometimes destroyed enemy tanks will leave a marker showing their NEXT tank on the spot where they died. It will disappear when the enemy gets spot in the new tank.

Yeah, the icon then zooms to the position of where they get spotted right? It's a minor bug, not as ridiculous as the invisible tank fiasco that happened a while back.

Normally when you get in 50m (autospot range) of a "last spotted" location, and the enemy isn't there, the marker goes away.

Seems to be a bug indeed.

Last spotted location shows where a tank was last spotted, just what the name of it suggests.

Thanks for the clarification. OK then, it works like it is intended to be.

While we are at it:
It could become a option, that the markers are deleted when somebody have cleared that spot.
Not only for the individual player.

I still believe, a marker that is out of date, is a wrong information for the whole team.

But honestly, I don't have a better suggestion.

No, because a last know position (even if out of date) is way more valuable than no last position at all.

If you really want life to be that much more difficult, just turn off last known position, if you think it is more important to clear them off

Thanks for the hint.
Turning off the last last known position of the spotted enemy comes not in question for me.

Certainly it is a vital first information.

But when you have the prove that the opposite of the given information is right (aka there is no tank in 400meter) you still like the same indicator, for both cases?
