Hi guys,

This month I am not entirely sure which tank I would choose, so here is the question to you. Which one would you take?

Best

there is the consept of ''Best'' Tank.

sure you can look at hard stats and make your opinion on that.

it does not mean however that you are going to enjoy the tank.

Thunderbolt would be the ''Best'' in this case. but i would still go for the Steyr Waffenträger because i enjoy Sniping tanks.

an example on case i have:

Totally agree. However, I found myself to usually like the tanks that are preferred by a large part of the players. Of course there are a couple of exceptions. But still, these polls tend to help me.

Firefly, i always found them to look sexy. Not really the best tanks so.

ye nothing wrong with asking which one is good and how they work. i do that aswell but i still look at the tanks myself and make the final judgement. :)

I would normally have gone for the highest tier tank, but on this occassion I am going to go for the Thundrbolt, as I have the VC and you can get the Krupp-Steyr in the tech tree. I was hoping for D-Day they would have had the more historic Tiger 131 which I haven't got.

See, this time the 3 tanks are... rather average vs good or really bad. It's mostly "meh" to fit that aspect. As none of them is a fairly common sight. Firefly can be, as it was in the loot boxes last Xmas.

But... compared to what you already own. I suspect we can help you decide. Firefly is your basic support medium. 171 pen that's great for a tier 6. But mobility is meh. It's no Cromwell. But rather close to the AC 4 in terms of style.

WT is not terrible either tbh. The closest thing you got is the tier 7 US premium TD. Just picture that, just with a turret, more DPM and tiny bit less pen. And it dies just as easily, even with more armor. As more is still nothing vs 1mm.

Thunderbolt will be my pick, as it's the only one I don't have. I suspect it is more comparable to the T-34-85M, as you don't have the E8 etc. It's a taller US variant with more armor slapped on the front of a tech tree tier 6 medium, but less dpm vs it. Tbh... I can't even remember the last time I did see one. As it did disappear rather fast after it was sold here last.

If you have a jumbo and remove the top engine you get an idea of the thunderbolt. Armor can work and its its at times... but its nowhere near a e8 or 34-85.

It lacks the lower plate of the Jumbo tbh to be close to that one I suspect. But I did not suspect it was close to the T-34-85M either, but rather in the style of what he has already played as I pointed out after a quick glance on his list. As he doesn't own a Jumbo or E8 etc. It might be an off comparison as you fairly pointed out, but still.

But as I did say, I've not seen one since it was sold the first time. I suspect there was a reason for it.

Personally I would say the WT. But as I only lack the Thunderbolt, it will be my pick regardless.

Wouldn't recommend to buy it but as a reward tanks its decent. I enjoy mine, armor trolls many at tier 6, just avoid hills/slopes as they make you feel like a heavy.

In case you like TDing and have GER prem TD already in your garage, then the Krupp-Steyr Waffenträger would be the best choice.

A beast really.

As I have all 3 tanks already, the Krupp-Steyr is the best tank for me. Because I get the most credit for it when I sell it.

Do you have any idea how much you get for it? I'm wondering if I should pick it to sell for credits, because I need them, or to pick one of the others for crew training.

Whichever tank you would choose I bet you could earn that many credits, and even more, during one gaming session playing any of your t8 premiums with the skills you have...

Not these days.. With the Covid-bots everywhere I only win when having barely any damage and get trash rng, or lose.

Does it come with the special crew it had when it was introduced?

I was wondering that also, if it comes with the 0 skill brothers in arms crew it would be worth taking.

If I had to chose it would probably be the Firefly which has almost the same standard pen that the sad gun on the Thunderbolt has for premium ammo pen while it's own premium pen is a pretty impressive 240 which ain't gonna be stopped by many tanks this T6 tank will encounter. The firefly also hits for 150 alpha instead of that somewhat depressing 115 alpha from the Thunderbolt.

Being both Shermans they're similar in a lot of other areas but ya, the gun difference between the 2 are light-years apart and while having some armor is nice, which is what you get with the Thunderbolt, we all know that as a bottom tier pleb most the time that armor isn't really going to help you out very much in fact it won't stop the Firefly's shots so in this game I am more interested in damage dealing than damage stopping and so for me it would be Firefly which clearly offers a much better damage dealing potential along with playing the ranged supporting bottom tier role much better with those levels of pen against what's mostly going to be frontal armor.

The German TD is pretty interesting too, though I'm not sure what that tank has to do with D-day. A T7 but just like the Firefly it has great pen options and nice damage dealing potential however I guess because I personally play a lot of the premium SkorpG and SU-130-PM for grinding credits another papery TD probably wouldn't be something I would want to play any more of than I already do so ya, I guess for me personally it would be the Firefly.

Firefly, good pen for a med at that tier, and lovely camo.
