I don´t really care to much about sandbox stuff, maybe it gets like that into the main game, maybe not, why bother wasting time thinking that much about it.

After all its going to happen in one form or another and the only real question then is "is it worth to adapt or time for another hiatus".

Not a fan at all, there are more important things to work on than equipment and crew.

I like it. Maybe some of the spotting ones can be reworked as well as changing the categories for some tanks (spotting on arty lmao). But the accuracy equipment is a god send.

Given the circumstances this reminds me on the saying "break something on purpose to then sell the solution".

They could rename it to spotting/camo but that's a bit clumsy IMO.  Just remember that camo comes under spotting.  And camo is useful or arty.

As it is now Equip2.0 as is now is ok as a testbed. It obviously requires a lot more to be brought into live!

TBH not that interested except the daft new spotting one where I could be lit up for far far too long. At the moment you must assume 10 sec and it's a fair amount of time but 18 sec (is that right?) Is just stupid. Hopefully they will see this on the sandbox and get rid of it completely.

i only have the basic idea what the equipment 2020202 do and are but i have no idea how many i can use and how to upgrade them, as there were some special rules and stuff regarding them iirc.

but i do like the idea to upgrade your tank to better suit your playstyle. so from what the basic idea i have its thumbs up from me. :great:

i have to wait and try them out for myself when they get relased to give my full opinion.

That requires a specific equipment being in a specific slot a fully trained skill crew(that allready exists on live servers) and a directive(that one also exists on live servers). So those assuming 10sec on live server are kinda wrong...Since you can be lit for 14 secs on live if someone is willing to use directives and stuff.

Promising IMO, I think some particular slots for certain tanks need looking at (mobility slot for 60tp?, 2 vision slots for EBR is a bit much), arty getting more accurate is not good either.

But I do like that they seem to have recognised that the 1.0 bushes give absurd camo and make camping too easy compared to how it uses to be, so have brought in equipment to better counter it and potentially give light tanks more of a chance to be competitive.

Some good ideas but, in the long term, it will make absolutely no difference.

All the sheep will settle into a set of equipment that they've been told to use by popular streamers et al.

Since I'm only playing in mid tier content as tier 8+ does not really interest to me due to the several off topic factors.

I think Equip 2.0 is OKAY as idea and for a first sandbox test. But for the tech tree mid tiers it needs changing.

Currently IMO it will further increase the already existing power-gap of the mid tier versus +2 content. More so for tier 7 content, then tier 6 btw.

I think this mostly has to do with the mid tiers only greceiving 1 specialization slot, while tier 8+ have been given 2 specialization slots. Also mid tier tanks have all been given the same single specialization slot per class: mediums mobility slot, heavies survivability slot...etc etc.

And this IMO should be changed, not every medium is the same, not every TD, not every heavy and not every light.

Some mid tier TD's already are very potent on firepower already and would not need this to be buffed.

Same for the medium, mobility would be useful for a few, but some do really need a fire power slot. Idem can be said about the heavy class and LT class.

I think you are correct about this. Whether people think EBRs are overpowered is one debate but given that Wargaming are setting up the bonus slots to fit how they think people should be playing certain tanks, I do wonder why they went with two scouting bonus slots to a tank that is supposed to be handicapped by view range. If EBRs want to spot people for 18 seconds, fine, but they should have to sacrifice something for that. Given that the bonus slots are supposed to fit the tanks style they should just give EBRs a mobility slot and be done with it imo at least so other scouts can compete. It does seem better for the game that there is less camo camping though.

I like the idea of more varied equipment.

I have played quite a few Sandbox games mainly with medium tanks so far.

I hardly think 30 or so games gives me sufficient experience of all the proposed changes than to say "Hard to say" in answer to your questions.

well they aren't "selling" anything. If this truly was their planning then they would have introduced this equipment years ago. Evidently they haven't.

I have never used a camo net on my arty. It's waste of an equipment slot.

I'm also talking in general, a lot of tanks have odd categories, like mobility for the 60TP as Tajj mentioned.

sorry but i dont quite get your argument about the bushes, that is a map issue (edit which WG were told about over and over and over in the 1.0 sandbox and sandbox forums), sort the maps out, this is just another game breaking idea that takes the game years backwards, for example when TDs had no camo loss after shooting which was removed for the betterment of the game, or the gradual de bushing of the maps up to 1.0 which again led to improved gameplay.  re introducing old problems is not the way to go, go back to pre 1.0 map styles (not the graphics, just the gameplay), go back to non template MM and remove stun mechanic and the game instantly gets better and msot of this 2.0 crap can be forgotten about

A mobility slot on the EBR would allow it to break 100km/h.Or even better acceleration than it allready has.EBR is problematic allready as it is now.Being faster would make that problem bigger...

Really?  I would love to know what you are putting on there after rammer and GLD.  Very few arty can take vents.  CO2 filled fuel tanks?  Grousers maybe?
