Hello,

I am opening a topic because I am looking for a skinner for one mod.

I think it is good to have a place where we can make offer / request for an ad-hoc collaboration. I think also that there is no need to make comments like "it looks funny", "I will not make this skin", "can you make this or that?", etc, etc. Just posts for offers / requests, and posts for acceptance, this will avoid to overload the topic .

I found that on a corner of my workbench, postponed because waiting for a gun.

An AMD178 (the original version, not the post-war AMD178B) as used by Germany on the East front.

The turret and the antenna are coming from cad files, there is no texture at all so the skinner must create the AM, ANM, AO and GMM textures. The only thing I can provide is layouts in width 512, 1024, 2048.

There is no spare wheel so the textures of the hull also must be changed. If there is a skinner, I will make changes on the hull (different wiring to the antenna).

An original french version is possible, the turret is this one.

Looks good, I actually prefer this over the post B version.

Good luck and hope you find someone :)

that thing looks suspiciously like cannibalized from Sd.Kfz. 232

ps one do not use UV template to draw texture from scratch. that's so very old school.

throw the mesh and a bit of extra normal or high-poly into substancePainter and let the machine work its magic.

Only if he has the tools to do so.

If I am looking for a skinner it is not because of tools, it is because I have a bad view and mainly because I am colorblind ...

That's not what I was interested in, but rather basic work as explained by atacms.

yeah you are totally missing the point.

JUERGEN_x is not implying that 'you' do not have the tool, but the potential willing someone.

And I was hinting that you should provide the mesh aside from the bare uv template.

Just as the workflow is shown in the video, I create models and continue to use them for virtual customer templates.
Changes to the material, coloring are made directly with Substance Painter. And that's exactly how skins "can" be rebuilt.

Understood.

I know this sort of software, some of their basic functions are included in 3D softwares like Blender, even in Daz.

But I never use them because of my eyes...

So if the only solution to get a skin for this AMD is to provide the 3D file, of course I'll do: I am not the owner of the file, I just ported some elements available for free on the web.

Yes, the copyright on the textures is a problem you have.  :(

The dozen or so Warthunder imports on the modhub would say otherwise though.
