I am acutely aware of the naming and shaming rule on the forums, so have not named any individuals in this thread nor in the replay submitted (they are anonymised - real username I have saved screenshot). Will write a ticket and attach the replay at some point but felt the need to share to raise a discussion point about the general concept and principle.

Players like what?

Not much to go on, and there is nothing wrong with being anonymous

He did literally link the replay, but if you want a transcript:

-the E-25 On his team pushes out the friendly T71 DA Into enemy fire, where he gets tracked and dies

-OP Says he's reported him, the E-25 Then turns back and comes to harass OP, chasing him around for awhile before seemingly giving up at last, though they do meet up later

The sad part is someone would probably say Hyina should have done more to save him when the enemy Bourrasque arrived, but I think it was the right call to let the enemy Bour focus down the troll.

Evidently, not as much as the damage I made to that E25's ego by reporting him

Those jerks should be given an extended ban, 1day for a first, then 1 week, 1 month and 1 eternity after that.

I see physics abuse almost every game, either to me or to an ally..

so many trolls are finding other ways to annoy a team now that team damage is off.

- blocking a player from reversing back into cover

- pushing a player into enemy fire

- ramming a player off ledges / cliffs

They'll chase you down through the entire battle or leave you alone after a few minutes.

Most of the time it's over something petty like "their favourite bush or spot was taken".. or just because they can with no repercussions.

I had a hummel player bombard my skoda t40 everytime he was reloaded, sure there is no team damage but didn't seem to bother him. he kept going for like 5 mins, then died.

His contribution to the game? ~300 damage. (mine around 4k combined)

His reason to shoot me? I refused to run through open terrain into 4 camping tds to spot for him. The poor su 85 that listened to him prior died in an instant moving across.

Never get this kinda people, their parents must have messed up big time raising those nuts believing anything evolves around them. "do as i say or i will harass you till you comply".

Wouldn't however be surprised if the same person reports others for being "toxic" when he gets called idiot, stupid or other things.

Cant vote because not all the options are suitable

1 how often do I encounter physics abuse so pushing shoving etc.

Rarely definitely not as frequently as every month, so few times a year and I do play every day.

2 occasionally it would be good to retaliate though I never do, quite happy when karma takes them out of the game though.

3 turning off FF was a good idea I wouldn't have minded if they left it in its just so rare an occurrence.

On balance its better off as it prevents escalation.

Only argument I have seen on the forums for having FF was so players could retaliate when pushed and for me thats as good a reason as any for removing ff.

4 sending in tickets yes I do that occasionally it really depends on  how serious I consider the offence.

Minor stuff I ignor.

More annoying stuff I right click their name and report them

Really ott stuff especially if I get killed or damaged then yes I send in a ticket.

Most recently a Friendly TD decided to occupy the same bush my ELC even 90 was in

he drew fire I got shot so retreated wasnt going to do anything about it at this point.

Then he typed follow me few seconds later fired a full clip into me 4 rounds

typed follow me again then drove over and pushed me for a bit till he got bored.

I sent in a  ticket with replay.

Way I understand their system some abuses have to be reported friendly fire used to be and probably is automatically monitored though now its just the act rather than damage received.

The system may also monitor other abuses its unclear.

I guess a number of bad acts over a time span draws a penalty.

We don't know exactly nor should we.

Its extremely unlikely we will ever meet the idiot again and I certainly don't check and see if they got a ban.

Those people pushing always happen when theres a event going on.

On normal days you almost dont see them.

Remember there are many "cave trolls" playing WOT during these Corona times....  :)

Cave Trolls usually have real life issues which makes them frustrated and angry individuals.

While I appreciate what you are trying to say with the third question namely

"Do you feel WG made things like this worse or more common by turning OFF team damage?" Because the way that question is worded is not really a yes or no answer.

It is not really very well set out. Perhaps it should be:

Do you think the removal of team damage has had as an unexpected consequence of more or less physics abuse?

Answer (1) More, (2) Less, (3) about the same

Easily triggered people are more likely to get reported and banned. And WG does have a system where repeat offenders gets punished longer.

Last instance I had was explained here: http://forum.worldof...8#entry17866818

Guy just flipped because I slowed down in front of his gun less than a second in a common traverse route and because I was then twice in a location that was more suited for hulldown than him (my tank was slower - he could have gone there himself, but only seemed to realize those were good positions once an enemy appeared that you could shoot from there).

The garage conversation was a bit longer than what is show in the post. It also included me saying (based on him being so easily triggered) that me reporting him wasn't the first time - and any ban wouldn't be the first either. To which he basically responded "Did support tell you this? They cannot tell you this!"
