I'm looking to buy my first premium tank for credit making. I really enjoy medium tanks, and was thinking about the T-44-100 (£38), T-54 mod 1 (£22) or Centurion Mk 5/1 RAAC (£24).

I like tanks with a decent turret, gun and mobility. Overall, I think the T-44-100 fits my playstyle the best, as I really enjoy the tech tree T-44. However, it's so much more expensive than the other two :/

I don't really want to spend too much money, but I'll get T-44-100 if it is worth the extra ~£15. I also have the 15% off coupon from Tankrewards to use.

So which one do you think is the best value for money? I'll primarily be using it for credit making. Thanks :)

Edit: For those of you that have looked at my account, I've gotten prem tanks from rentals like twitch prime, which is why I have games played in them.

You forgot the fourth option which is: None of Them.

Depends if you wish to use them for crew training as well as money making.

Edit: Seriously tho, I would go for the Cent

i would go for the T-34-3 personally, it even has a Preff MM.

but if you want the best value for your money go no further than the T-34-85M that is by far the best value for your £

but if its going to be your first Prem tank and have no further plans for buying more, you might want to take a full list of all the Prems in the game and look at others opinions on how they work and play, with all their Pro's and Cons. here: https://wiki.wargami...n/Premium_Tanks

:)

Cent 5/1, best tier 8 med of premiums

Turret is insane, I bounce even tier 8s, ROT and DPM very solid, even hull has armour and you get fair few hull bounces, I even bounce T28 prototype on my hull

Speed is decent, and good ability, also makes credits BIGLY, I love mine and trains British crew which is best

DO NOT BUY t34-3 it is very poor version of type 59, wait for that in looting boxes

T54 mod 1 is OK but I think you will like cent 5/1

Really dont expect the money to roll in with a premium. The people who do make money tend to be good players anyway who have no problem earning money.

You can make just as much money having a really good game with a tech tree tank at lvls 7 and 8.

Lowe has always been one of the best, if not the best credit maker. Which you bought and played one game in. Maybe play a game or two in that...

I don't care too much about crew training, just for credits :)

I've heard the lowe is good for credits, but it doesn't suit my playstyle.

Also, you know I've never bought a premium tank before right? I've only ever used rentals or tanks that I've gotten for free.

Something very important you should take into consideration:

Prem tanks don't need their own crew, but can use same nation, same class crews without penalty. Which cause of their bonus xp  gain makes them good crew trainer.

t-44-100 is probably the best of those 3, specially if you have already russian meds.

I have heard that the t44 100 is a very good tank but requires you to fire a lot of gold, so I dont think it makes much of a profit. Tonight I was testing out some tanks for their money making potential. My tier 8 premium the shwarzpanzer 58  (from black market)  on about 900 damage and a loss I think made maybe 8k, I think I had a 0 damage round in it and it made 700 credits. I think on win  and around 1k damage its prob about 20k profit. My tier 4 valentine II on  a win with 400 damage made 7k and with 900 damage made 17k I think. I dont tend to fire gold, though I did fire a few on the valentine after I ran out of the first 30 standard rounds. Sometimes with my tier 6 Japanese tiger (Heavy tank no 6) with a good round ( 2 or 3k damage and win) I can make 35k, but It has about a 3 skill crew and I am quite good in it. Best and easiest money maker (without premium account, and I dont have a premium account) is probably su100Y. Head for the city and wait for a sucker to come around a corner. Pretty much every battle is 2 or 3 shots 900 damage and 16-18k on a win. I think you take 4k off for a loss but it might be more because of tank repairs etc. The one thing I would say though is that a premium account and a higher tier tank can make a difference because of repair and ammo costs etc. Essentially a tier 6  20k profit battle becomes a 30k profit battle and a tier 8k 20k profit battle becomes a 50k profit battle say. (But check it out yourself with the premium difference at end of battle). Ive only played 1 of the tanks you list and only for 10 battles. The cent 5/1. It was very good, but a bit glidey and boring, with a good strong upper front plate and turret.  The best British premium tank available I think.

Oh right, I just saw it on your account and assumed you had it. The Lowe and the Rev are essentially how I make credits in the game.

Of the tanks you list, I only have the T44-100, which is an exceptional FL tank but has inadequate Pen to handle higher tiers in randoms, so you'd have to use quite a bit of gold which would hamper its credit making potential imo. Tbh I'd compare them all in the garage and go with whatever has the highest pen / lowest standard shell cost combination.

First of all, forget the coupons, like all "discounts" they create a psychological feel-good factor that somehow you are getting a great deal. You're not, none of these mediums are meta and it's unlikely they will ever dominate t8. All 3 are decent to good, but not really worth the money they cost.

If you have money to splash, and very willing to, this convo tone will be very different, but seeing as it's your first one my guess you are generally f2p in most games.

If it were me, I'd go for tech tree T8s, Pantera, regular T44 and Cent I, you can make relatively fine credits with them and you don't really need much premium rounds. Play all 3 for several hundred battles and get used to the playstyle.

After that, you should be able to decide yourself which one do you like more, and buy the corresponding premium version with money, bonds, or credits in Black Market.

A tip if you have Amazon Prime, it automatically links as Twitch Prime so you are entitled to free premium tank for trials every month.

They all have decent armor, but specialize in different things:

T-44-100: Mobility, moves fast and is very versitile

T-54 Mod 1: Hull armor, a bit slower, but definitely has more reliable frontal armor

Centurion 5/1: Turret & Hulldowning, it's a bigger tank, but definitely great at playing hulldown with it's great turret and gun depression.

dont buy any of them as your first premium, especially if you are looking for a good credit farm.

1st of all, maybe invest some time - create another account and do a referal thing - choose amx m4 49 or t26e5 fo free? which are going to be waaaay better credit earners than mediums.

2nd  if you want to spend money - get yourself scorpion g or su 130pm for credit farming.

meds are not the best credit farmers in general.

edit: just checked OP's account, he allready has scorp g and lowe - why would you need anything else for credit farming? lowe has the best credit farmer.

you have t54mod1 as well, skoda t27, somua sm, fv 4202, elc even, senlac.

So what are we even discussing here? you have plenty of prems and you say, that youare looking for your first premium? what a BS.

I think in that regard, the centurion is massively better than the other two as it has ~30 more base pen, so I guess I'll need to fire a lot less gold.

Thanks for the advice. That's actually what I used to do in fact, when I had like 800 wn8 (I have 2k recents now), which is why I have so many games in my T-44. However, now, I don't really enjoy playing tier 8 as much as I used to. I've been playing a lot of stb1 lately and really enjoy that. I would really like my own prem tank, just to make credits whenever I need / want to.

you already have enough premiums tanks for credit making, if you want to get another med, then go for t44-100 and spam full apcr.

I've edited my original post to make it clear - I don't own those premium tanks I've played. I've only had them as rentals from stuff like twitch prime.

Like mentioned above, pick the one most beneficial to you as a crew trainer.

The credits will come easily enough either way.

T44-100 is a great tank but is it value for money when it's nearly double the price of the T54mod1?  I don't think so.  Go with the other slightly slower but more armoured tank and still very capable t54 mod1 tank.

If it's just credits you want go for something with high pen high damage per shot fired eg Lowe or a TD like SU130 skorpion, progetto is the best t8 medium.

I was going to repeat what Hyina said, but seeing this response;

Have you considered instead spending the money on a premium account? If your recents are 2k wn8 then with a premium account a consistent session up to tier IX will run at a profit. For better players a premium tank to earn silver is not necessary if you have a premium account. It will only work if your wn8 is consistently high.
