I can get myself the T-44-100 at 20% off and since I heard it's a tier 8 Obj.140 I think it might be worth it for me.

The issue is, I already own Progetto 46 and T54 ltwt, which statistically looks like a identical tank, just uptiered.

The another problem is that I hated my T-44 but I don't know if it was because I used to be a bad player when I had it or it was because the tank is just not in my style. I had a big problem with T-44 mobility and when I got myself the T54 ltwt. I just straight up sold the T44 because it felt literally same, just worse in almost every way (except dispersion on 100m)

So what is the T-44-100 like? Is it similar to Progetto?

Is it a good credit maker?

Its a decent premium, but not worth its pricetag.

If you want to spend money on an OP tier 8 medium tank it's worth it I guess.

I don't understand this type of question, if everyone said no, you wouldn't buy it however much you may want to? Conversely if it was a resounding yes, you would buy it even if you were lukewarm about the purchase? Maybe it's just me, but to abrogate to others my purchasing decisions seems ludicrous.

Unless it is just a way to create conversation?

I don't know enough about the tank and I'm not sure if I want it so I can't make a good decision :)

If everyone says no I won't buy it since I'm not sure if I want it. If the opinions would be promising, I'd buy it most likely but still, I would think if I really need it.

Simple answer, rebuy the t-44, play it a couple of battles and see if you like it. If you don't, don't bother with the t-44-100.

I really like mine.

It's not a great medium, It's a kind of hybrid between a medium and a light.

Good spotting, good terrain resistance values, Reasonable gun, Decent camo.

I've had games where it's been the only light ish tank on the team and it's worked in that role, I've had games where there was absolutely nothing I could do and felt very weak.

It's credit generation is excellent.

Is it as good as the T54 and P46. No. The P46 has better combat stats, and it's an outright better medium, the T54 has far better armour and can be more head on with it's role.

The T44-100 is a nice balanced tank that isn't amazing but plays really nice. I've played mine enough now that it's almost a 5 skill crew.

@Op since you already own a progetto - do you need a russian crew training tank?

If you don't have Premium account better spend the money for that.

I enjoy it, just like I enjoyed the t-44. Since you already have the Progetto 46 it probably is not worth it, the Italian pretty much does the same thing better. If you really want a USSR premium medium, the 44-100 is the best choice.

Good joke t44-100 and balanced, have you ever compared it to other tier 8 meds?

The one thing that makes the t-44-100 a bit less of a great crew trainer is the crew layout, as contrary to the tier 9/x tanks the loader doubles as radioman where on the t9/x the commander does.

T54mod1 doesn´t have that issue as it uses the same crew layout as the other russian 4 crew meds use (at least as far as i remember them)

1. I own a T44-100.

2. I own a Progetto, and the Progetto is the first tank I chose in Frontline.

3. I own a LT-432 which is effectively a premium version of T54 ltwt. Except that the T54 ltwt went up to tier IX during the light tank changes and the LT-432 remains at tier VIII. The LT-432 is a "stronger" tank for me than the T44-100. Easier to carry a team to a win in the LT-432. However, the LT-432 like all light tanks requires more thought and more stress and strain by me to get a win. That is fine when I am really determined to try and drag every team to a win. But if I just want to play a few games late in the evening before going to bed and want to unwind, then I will not play the LT-432. Under those circumstances I am more likely to pick my T44-100, even if it means fewer wins.

4. I still bought a T44-100 owning the Progetto and LT-432. I did so because (a) I really enjoyed the T44 tech tree tank and by my account standards did alright in it. I find the T44 decent to solo in and quite relaxing. I have found the T44-100 similar except obviously it makes more silver credits in the process. (b) The T44-100 is a decent second pick in Frontline when the Progetto dies.

5. As mentioned above the T44-100 is not ideal as a crew trainer.

6. If you want it and can afford it OP then by all means buy it. The T44-100 is not OP, but as a tier VIII mediums go I would suggest only the Progetto/Pantera are better.

7. BUT for you OP if you did not enjoy or did not get on with the tech tree T44 then this premium tank clone of it might not be the purchase for you.

Thank you for such a beautiful response Arthur, it's exactly what I've been looking for!

I own the LT-432 and I agree it's quite difficult to make impact in it due to low alpha but it's a awesome tank.

T-44 didn't work for me because I was a bad player back then and when I got the T54 ltwt I just sold it, because mobility was something that I was missing in 44. I saw the 100 version has way better ground resistences so it might be a awesome option for me. I love my Obj.140 and T55A but I remember T-44 being a little sluggish. How would you compare the mobility in both 44 and 100 version? Do you find the 100 more fun?

And how annoying is the low hp engine? I suppose it has similar problems as the BC 25 AP, when the track gets taken out the engine goes down as well?

I don't mind the v100 being worse than Progetto, I mind what's your personal feelings when playing the tank because I play purely for fun
