I used to do this job, from around 1975 till 77. And if anyone can remember the summer of 1976, you will imagine how hot is was in the forge then, very hot!

I worked in a foundry in the 80's. Hottest, hardest work I've ever done.

 

I loved it.

Last friday, I burned my thumb, lighting the BBQ with a soldering torch... that was hot...   :facepalm:

I did too, I went from there to the pit, more hard collar, but for much more dollar! A donkey from birth, I loved hard work and hated school. :teethhappy:
