Hello,

 

If you owned world of TANKS, what would change and why

 

I would 

 

Bring back some old classic maps - Sevragosk, Hidden village, swamp, Port and Winter himmesdorf 

 

MM to become -1/+1 only 

Current pref mm tanks to get +1/-0 

Bring back pref mm 

Bring back Team battles and Nation v Nation battles

Limit arty to 2 per game

Gold ammo apcr and HEAT to do less dmg than AP rounds (calculated at the %increase in pen = that same %decrease in dmg), HESH

remain the same 

Allow 4 maps to be excluded 

Allow excluded maps to affect encounter and assault modes

NEW BRITISH TANKS

Ranked mode to be permanent but open up to tier 7s

No more OP premiums (premiums cannot be better than tech tree tanks again)

Obj 279e   can only fight tier 10 games no longer seeing tier 9s but on other change to it

 

what would you guys change?

  13. Revert all LT changes to pre-9.17/18 values and reinstate Scout MM.

Fix physics engine so rocks and walls actually work and are not RNG elements that can flip your tank or force your tank around in all different kind of ways if you touch a rock/wall.

i would add animals as crewmen, hamsters, horses, monkeys, elephants, unicorns all with proper "voices" off course.
1 bottle of vodka, brand name "forum tears" for every premium time purchase 1 month+.
A tier x maus with wheels going 100kp/h, cause why not.
a 1% chance for godzilla to appear in a random match and turn it into whatever tanks left vs godzilla.
Replacement of heat ammo penetration sounds, to make them sound like really wet and warm kisses.

And many more awesome things.

Yes, the rock situation is definitely a blunder by WG. 0 updates from WG on this one.

 I simply roll back to about V8.4 or before, remove Gold Ammo and redo all the Maps in HD, Then look at rebalancing the tanks which have been added since then to fit the tech trees (avoiding power creep as much as possible) and reintroduce them back into the game including some tanks which would just be deleted..

 Of course the backlash from the massive ****Storm from the playerbase crying from having certain tanks nerfed or removed including Premium/Clan reward Tanks would be epic

4 maps to be excluded? Arty and super heavies would have a field day.

 

 

Personally? I would remove friendly arty stuns. It brings nothing to the table, and personally is the one thing I despise the most when arty has to "help". Never sell the 13 57, Defender or LeFH again. And... Remaster Port.

First thing I would do is sack the balancing and marketing teams.

A simple wind-up toy monkey would do their work for free, so why waste money.

Start the game design from the ground up with focus on tech tree, ammo, armor (basically general overall game) balance and e-sport features

Once it was ready:

- Keep 1 server active with "classic" WOT

- For the 1st 3-6 months on the new server(s) everyone starts from scratch

- After 3-6 months, credit existing players with enough gold / credits / free experience to replace their existing tank lines / crews / etc in the new game if they agree to switch over to the new game and cancel their old account

- Once everyone (who is going to) has switched to the new game design, start changing the entire game structure into a pay to win design and charge ridiculous prices

- After two years merge the remaining hold outs from the "classic" WOT into the new WOT, but with their old tanks and watch them complain

 

(no, not really)

9.What is wrong with JPE100?I mean it does have scary alpha but it doesnt one shot people like the fv does?

To make a reply to OPs post. 

 

- Fix the rocks

- Nerf wheelies, make them their own class and limit to 1 to 2 per team

- Revert arty completely to 9.17 and limit to 1 (you are 4 times more likely to get hit by arta in a 3 arta game than a single arta game)

- Make all future premiums purchasable by gold only so that they can be buffed/nerfed/removed with ease. (Ideally this would have been the way it's done from the start)

- Make WGs map department get off their butts and actually reintroduce the old maps that they forgot after 1.0. Also fix map imbalances, and remove mines and ensk from tier 10 mm. Make maps at least 1.5km x 1.5km

- Equipment 2.0 released to live server (after testing is complete, a lot needs to be tweaked from the first test)

- Nerf 279e and Chieftain 

- Give tanks weakspots again, nerf premium ammo. 

- Introduce a comprehensive guide for new players that actually teaches them the important parts of the game (armour angling etc.)

- Sixth sense for all commanders.  

- Buff many, many underpowered tanks. 

- Global speed nerf. WoT Classic really brought back that slow paced feel, remember the T-50-2 was removed for a reason. The current heavium/EBR meta is far too fast for WoT as a game, imo one of the more significant culprits in the steam roll games we see today, everyone just reaching positions and getting stuck in faster than ever before, no thinking just rushing forward. 

- Change the garage to the 9.X era garage, the current one just sux.

- Rework accuracy mechanics, adding a "point blank" mechanic where the shots goes perfectly straight for the first 10-50m. it would end the silly derp shots that are physically impossible. 

- In game testing range where you can spawn stationary tanks of our choice. 

- In game armour model viewer similar to war thunder. 

- Display FULL stats of all tanks as well as module damage probabilities.

- More in depth skill/perk and equipment explanations as well as showing what the specific effect of each skill/equipment on stats is

- Implement a mandatory, fully detailed tutorial for new players. With tips and tricks from professional players and Community Contributors.

- Single-player shooting range - a testing ground of sorts, like a personal sandbox to test your tank in before taking it into battle.

- As part of the shooting range - a target-practice challenge.

- Implement a brand new aiming mechanic - the longer you aim, the smaller your aiming circle becomes, with its rate of shrinking slowing down exponentially until its size is less than half of the current aimcircle.

- Enable all extra HUD options by default, instead of leaving them disabled by default as they currently are. In addition, guide new players through the settings, step by step.

 

That last one is the most important one for me. It is nice to just hop in a game and play, but when a game has this many settings, the FIRST thing you MUST do is go through them all. No exceptions.

I forgot to add this one to mine. This would be an insane feature. Ideally you can spawn a few more tanks of your choice (not bots, just stationary tanks) to test against.

oh man there would be a lot i would do, as then it would be my game and i would make it how i wanted it to be and you would not care about those that would not like it. :P

 

More exculded maps,

add more maps, bring back old ones. and fix some that are already in the game.

more premium tanks, and more Tech tree tanks.

Finnish tanks for everyone, and all other countries.

new game modes.

arty would be able to one shot people again. but also giving stun to heavy tanks keep them at 2 per team. 6 at grand battles.

all heavy tanks would have weakspots on top of their turrets. that are less than 100 stronk. and as large as the average cupola of the regular PZ.4

Gold ammo would stay at it is.

More wheeled vehicles. all the good WW2 wheeled fighting vehicles + halftracks with Anti tank guns.

more equipment options so basically the 0.2 thinggy.

would move some tanks up and down some tiers and buffing others.

adding back fail toons.

reverting some past nerfs on tanks and adding the scout mm back.

making tanks so that stock parts are also usefull and have a trade off against the elited turret.

MORE RNG on stuff. cuz RNG is good and i like it. here have a random engine failure.

more anime stuff.

better music in the game, more historical themes. and for the love of god an actual garage.

Make the pref MM even worse than regular tank MM. Im sure the paying customers will appreciate that.
