Sorry not able to vote in the poll. The options do not express my feelings so here goes;

How much do you like your T30? About average. It is well balanced and nothing special.

What is the problem with T30? That it is about average and nothing special. I do not feel like keeping it and creating a new crew for it (the crew I used to grind through it went up to the tier X).

What is the great thing about T30? Nothing really stands out, decent at what it does.

Which one do you find more enjoyable? Would be the T30 as I find casement TDs somewhat limiting in their game play, but that is a subjective view I happen to hold.

Is WT Auf Pz IV better than T30? No the two are so different that they cannot be compared. The WT Auf Pz IV is a paper TD that needs to hide at the back, and the T30 is a mid range support TD that needs to occupy a space behind the heavy tanks, but ahead of paper TDs.

Is Obj.704 better than T30? No. While they occupy the same niche of support TD and both have a bit of unreliable armour, the T30 has a turret and the 704 does not. So they are different in that respect and have their own strengths and weaknesses and are both well balanced.

Do you recommend T30 overall? Well balanced, average. Decent to grind through, but for me not a keeper. But then I am not a huge TD player.

Q1: it's derpy cute

Q2: all of those to a certain extent

Q3: all of those - be it none of them is great

Q4: haven't played T95 after the speed buff and the current meta. Seems the better now.

Q5: obviously the WT Auf Pz IV is better as one of the best tier 9 TDs, but you cannot really compared them

Q6: T30 is more flexible. Obj hits more reliable if the enemy is kind enough to line up and push past you

Q7: Eh, yes but no but

Its a very good tier 9 TD. It has turret armor and a big gun so it can play in the heavy line most of the time.

As per what Arthur stated.

"It's great fun when you just want to sit back and b*tch slap people for 750 like a boss"

That's my problem with TDs. Too little effort for the rewards accrued. Excessive punishment for the fella on the receiving end of. But the former attains the recognition despite doing so little.

With my T30 I've had such battles. It's not a matter of being enjoyable, but terrible game design, though there are other aspects just as serious. But this is me, of course.

I like the way you described that it hits, like a truck full of dildoes.

That's with the 750 alpha gun.

But there's also the option of mounting the 400 alpha gun.

Which would be like a couple of smaller trucks filled with dildoes.

Hitting in quick succession, one after the other, again and again.

Way to dish out more dpm, or surprise/perma-track people with that quick reload.

:justwait:

Gj making a survey which dont accept the answer T30 is a decent tank and its well balanced. T30 is not a backline Td. Play it like a second or first line heavy. When there are too much artys and its an open map u still can snipe. The gun is a bit derpy but every 750 Dmg tank with a turret has kind of a derp gun. Reload is fine, almost the same dpm like E100. You have a great turret, very good penetration, good gun depression, mobility is okay. Its a unique TD, no buff or nerfs needed.

If u want a 400 Alpha Dmg gun on a TD dont waste the T30 for this. Play the Conway.

I don't understand why after so many years Wargaming still has not implemented a simple test drive feature in the game client.

what do you mean if its worth it? Its a tier 9 heavy tank, that hits for 750, enough said. issue with T30 is that most of the time its played wrong.

if a tank has a turret its automatically better than one without, period. it just makes you so much more flexible, its not even comparable.

I agree with the fact that the poll is not balanced, so I will answer here.

I like this TD as it is a capable tier IX that I can win with- currently 139 battles and 73 wins (66 lost/drawn). For me at tier IX that is good.

It is slow. The reload is long and it is not a HT, even if it looks like one.

The only really good thing is smacking enemies for 750HP

I have a negative WR in the WT and the Object and I have never played the T95.

I can recommend you give it a try.

T30 having a fully rotatable turret is still decent. Much more flexible than non turreted TDs.

Is it great ? NO...but its still far from bad.

If only it was a bit faster.

This. You make it seem like the T30 is weak. Maybe are you (OP) playing it wrong? If you are sniping with it or complaining about the armor, I think you make some mistakes.

Keep in mind that T30's gun has been buffed a few years back. It used to be (even) more derpy fyi.

I really like the T30. Great fun and effective vehicle.

The combination of 750 alpha, a fully rotating turret, some frontal turret armor and 10 degrees of gun depression create a lot of opportunities.

I didn't get on with mine.  It will be sold and the Tier X bought and never used.

Well, I sold it years ago, but if my stats are anything to go by...

I'd say it's pretty good.

I would say it's wrong to use personal stats in a tank as an indication of how "good" the tank is. These stats only indicate that you are doing better with the tank then other players _in the same tank_. It doesn't say anything about how this tank compares to other tanks (except perhaps the win rate).

Now the question if a tank is "worth" it is also pretty meaningless, unless one defines what "worth" means. If "worth" means the tank offers you "more" than other tanks in something that you value - then if you value winning - then look at win ratios, if you value doing damage - look at average damage per game, top damage, etc. But it's pretty meaningless to ask this kind of question, when there is so much variety in the tanks in the game and in the gameplay

Personally I would recommend playing the T30 just like all the others, it is definitely an interesting and rewarding tank to play. It has its own playstyle - big alpha, long reload turreted tank with some turret armor but not much otherwise. It requires careful planning about positioning, aiming, and some luck to make it work. The other posters have well described the features and how it compares with the T95 or the WF IV. Personally I am lately playing the T95 and find it to be more "consistent" and deal more damage - but that may be just because I last longer with it. I would definitely suggest playing the T30, as well as the E4 after it.
