Heyo :)

 

today as i was playing my T-34-3, i shot a Super Hellcat and managed to track him but he just kept going, after looking at the replay i did ''track'' him but he did not even stop nor didnt his tank have enough time to steer left or right even a little bit before his track was fixed and he was continuing his journey.

so... what? did i not track him? did he have a mod that did it for him, or was he just the one in the million that has inhuman reaction time and fingers? :unsure:

i did not even see in the slowmo footage if his tracks went into the ''destroyed'' state for a millisecond, it was that quick.

Witnessed something similar a couple of times, in all honesty i kinda bet its a mod doing this.
Or someone after 6 energy drinks and large repairkit bound to the thumb mouse button or so.

Didn't see the replay, but noticed similar stuff happening as well. Not just a fast reaction, but instantaneous, definitely sub 200ms.

I think a lot are still using the auto repair mod I see it a lot track them hit engine gun seems to be back right away so I cannot see them having it bound to a mouse button in every case.

Yesterday i was playing T30 and someone shot my tracks and shows in the orange overlay that the it hit my tracks

but i did not got tracked

Orange means damaged, red destroyed and only destroyed counts as detracked. This topic is about destroyed and instant repair without showing the effect of being detracked.

maybe you damaged it and you start thinking about how fast the repairs

post battle results show if you just damaged or destroyed someones track. if you just hit him ones and it shows red track damage on battle results yet he showed no signs of being tracked then you have 2 options.

1 battle results bugged

2 someone with 1ms reflexes... or more likely a mod.

There is a big icon with a picture of a track and the text "Critical Hit" + a sound effect

Thats how I know I did something that detracked him.

Had a Tortoise react the same way on Berlin the other day. The repair was instant. Critical track hit, the sound effect, didn't stop it even a bit.

 

Same thing with some Obj. 277 on Pilsen today. Took a shot at its broadside, no damage critical hit (of course, because RASHA), the sound effect, didn't stop. I'm not 100% if it was tracks or not...but the shot landed low, so I doubt it's anything else.

 

It seems there's a whole lot more of this happening recently. I'm now starting to think it might be a bug, as with WG, LITERALLY ANYTHING is possible when it comes to bugs. Or, it's just a lot of cheaters...why so many all of a sudden though?

Not to mention that in battle you can actually visualize the broken tracks.

 

There is also a commander skill that will show damaged (and destroyed) modules, as well as injured crew members.

If he has repair kit on his 5 key, he could have spammed super fast it while anticipating a tracking shot. He could have also had a large repair kit, which would have made it ever so slightly faster.

Either that, or he could indeed have used a mod.

 

I often find myself readying my finger or sometimes even spamming the key when I anticipate a tracking shot.

I recently end my grind on tier 9 french arty and while grinding I've noticed multiple times enemies using health kit to get rid of the stun way too fast for for being a natural human reaction.

when I play arty I noticed that sometimes "stun" is not displayed

above the tank but definately active.

 

regarding fast repair,

I'd guess for big repair kit.

I also don't think anymore when repairing tracks or reviving commander,

the fingers find their target by themselves before I realize I am thinking of repairing.

 

which sometimes leaves me having pressed the "3" button and wondering why I shoot HE :P

In athletics a runner is disqualified for starting less than 0.1 s after the starting gun has fired. It would be easy for WG to code the same thing into repair kit use (with, perhaps a longer time).
