Hello there!

As i have been playing arty for a long time (21% of my games, ~3600 rounds), i would say im kinda experienced with them. I have been noticing for a very long time, that some ppl remove their stunned effects with inhuman reactions, like after 0,5 second or so, and rarely i shoot ppl who visually dont get stunned for the first shot (im talking about t6+ arty shots) Ofc you can rebind the key for your mouse buttons, or something but still that's inhuman reaction time, especially when in a fight. In my nomenclature, i call this auto first aid kits.

So my question is, Is there a mod or macro that auto uses the first aid kits?

It's a mod and it's legal (seen it in Aslain modpack). Don't use it myself. I personally think it's cheating.

No idea why WG haven't banned it as it clearly gives an unfair advantage.

Well, it doesn't take long to tap the 5 key (or whatever key one has bound the Large first aid kit.

Well first of all the stun timer disappears and reappears when you repair a broken module, tracks for example. It starts the countdown circle of the stun timer from start with the time that was left, and thus it looks like they repaired their stun. Couple that disappearance to them fixing stun right after fixing their tracks and you get what you see happening. And 0,5s is not an inhuman reaction time. 0,15 is the fastest reached while I remember they did a test for fun on F1 paddock to drivers, team principals and some pundits, and they could easily reach 0,3s in such relaxed environment. People in game very often expect arty to hit and thus their reaction times are lower than when you wouldn't be expecting something to happen. Of course there are macros but I highly doubt they are in any way common. Some versions of them are allowed while others are illegal. Iirc the one that just presses the key to open up the menu is legal while the one that also chooses what to fix is illegal. I personally can't see any point in using such as it would automatically open the menu even when I didn't want it to.

Yeah, I personally would find any automatic application of repair and health kits as a disadvantage rather than an advantage.

Every time arty stuns you lose your health kit for something important.

For example the other two arties of the enemy team, they will be happy for every macro user that immediately wastes the first aid kit without waiting to see if they didn't also choose him as the target.

Don't see the point. Why would you want to waste your med kit on a pointless stun which you can just let wear off so you don't have it later when you do need it?

Maybe you can toggle it on and off?

I have it on the mouse side buttons. As if you have a large med-kit, it will take 0.5 seconds. As you don't have to select anything if they get knocked out too. Same with tracks. They are in less then a second.

And yes... I get a PM from arty players now and then about cheating with it.

Even then... I cannot predict when I will need it. I need to evaluate that in light of the kind of damage taken and the situation.

The mod seems an advantage if you're like properly bad. But from a certain skill level it seems more of a burden.

(And if you are tracked and it's needed, pressing 4 5 - and even 4 5 5 for tracks and health - doesn't take a second.)

(And 4 5 is faster than 5 5 - same reason that pressing two notes on a piano can be done faster than pressing the same key twice.)

when I get hit by arty my left hand
nearly automatically does the "45" and that's it.

tracks are up again and stun removed.

PS: when is next consumable discount?

What would be the point? It's not like the enemy arty let's you know a few seconds in advance that they're about to drop a shell on you to give you the chance to toggle it off.

I have repair on 5 and med kit on 6 and with a Raza Naga they sit under my thumb. I would guess my old age reaction slows me from the human standard of 0.3 but I would hope to hit 0.5 everytime when I wished to trigger the key with my thumb hovering over the side of the mouse:

Imagine a 5v5 end game situation on Westfield. At some moment I'm spotted and retreat so only arta can loupe a shell in. I could then toggle it off and if arta shoots me I can wait till I'm unstunned.

It would be even possible to play with it disabled until you decide to make a big play. Getting tracks up in 0.05s instead of 0.3 (or so) can make a difference, especially if you unstun (or heal your gunner) at the same moment.

In many instances it won't be an advantage, but if I had such mod I could make it work.

Even 0.3s is long if you compare it with the 0.05 or faster 'reaction times'. Noticed it months ago when playing arta; people unstunned not just very quickly, but instantaneously.
