67 games, 40 WR. 900 average damage..

Piece of craptank. Either i get awful teams or i am totally useless.

Some tanks just don't click.

If you stop to play it like it was a cromwell or comet, i am pretty sure the Charioteer will be as good as any other mobile turreted TD who has a nice alpha gun...

Me too when I get tired of the t10 I might swap the crew back to a Charioteer. Although I dont have a KV2 so the FV is a bit different to other stuff in my garage

It's straight up the best non premium teir 8 td ingame , i take it out for a spin every day and i have it 3 marked . I straight up love the thing . I even used it in FL because of the mobility and turret as well as  apcr as standard ammo . The wheelies don't outrun too many of those i can tell you.

yeah, it's by far the best t8 tech tree td. At least I think so; for a light/med tank player.

Yes, I agree, one of my worst T8s. It was a real disappointment after the joy that was the Challenger.

While I don't do particularly well in it, I find it one of the most exciting tanks to play. There is always something you can do thanks to good mobility and excellent view range with optics. Only gripe is that a whole bunch of fully aimed shots seem to miss.

The Charioteer was never updated when the T7 Challenger was buffed to feature 32-pdr with 280 alpha. The Charioteer also should have had it's stock gun or at least it's middle gun replaced with this same Challenger 32-pdr gun and also with slightly better stats over the Challengers gun to make the up-tiering feel something of a slight gain and not just the tank itself obviously.

Now, historical accuracy be damned tbh(Especially since the Challenger got that 32-pdr gun it never featured before the buff), because instead of the higher tier Charioteer logically getting to use the same or even a slightly better version of the Charioteers 32-pdr with 280 alpha for the stock or second gun, instead it gets a garbage 230 alpha 20-pdr not just for the stock gun but also for the middle gun, both of which are massively inferior to it's Challenger predecessors 32-pdr in all areas, aim time, soft stats etc, not just the alpha which in itself kinda doesn't make much sense too when you consider that a smaller caliber gun from a slightly newer era of that nations tanks should kinda suggest that where it loses out in alpha it gains in aim time, accuracy and dpm etc but it doesn't and just makes no sense on any level outside of historical.

I can see you now finally have the top gun which is such a game changer for this TD and what this tank is all about really. It suffers from bad aim time and soft stats. The soft stats can be forgiven because it's a TD and not a medium otherwise it would just be a stronk medium instead but the aim time is too bad for the caliber imho especially when you compare it to the bigger caliber Skorp with bigger alpha but that's because with premium tanks you pay real money and this tank is free so ya, money can't be me love but it can buy me a fast aiming big gun TD.

Regarding 'never updated'; the Charioteer got its gun depression buffed years ago. Not sure if you're talking about that or just the alpha of the stock guns.

Never played those ;)

Ya I'm just talking about the 2 20-pdr guns the Charioteer comes with to grind through. Sadly I very much DID play those and it was just a step backwards from the somewhat decent 32-pdr top gun the Challenger got a few years ago during it's buff. It just doesn't feel right so far as logical progression goes. You have a nice fast aiming 280 alpha gun on the T7 TD and then when you get the Charioteer you have to place really trashy slow aiming 240 alpha guns for the grind before unlocking the top gun and as of course I sadly had to do that grind back before WG started chucking fast-route xp bonuses so it was a somewhat torturous grind at T8 but it just doesn't make any sense and surely at the very least I feel the middle gun should be a variant of that 32-pdr too.

I have problem with Borsig while others perform well int it.
Charioteer is just OP awesomeness for me when top gun is mounted and 2skill crew (it is enought, better 3)
dunno my stats in it but i enjoy 70-80% of games in it despite win or loose

In my memory the Challenger (obviously pre-buff) was a real Challenge, whereas the Charioteer had speed, a smaller turret, and full rotation. Seemed a very decent tier VIII TD to me.
