As I don't like any of the tank rewards tanks, I'm going to choose between one of the medium tanks purely for crew training. But I can't seem to decide between the US and UK medium tank lines. Which would you recommend for which playstyle? Are there any obvious fail tanks on the level of Indien Panzer (an example of an all-around mediocre medium) that could torpedo entertainment value on one of the lines? I assume both lines are good for working the terrain, but I can't seem to grasp the key points of both lines.

For crew training, bear in mind that the UK Firefly VC only has a four-man crew, lacking a Radio Operator; so will be unable to train a full crew for e.g. Cavalier, Cromwell etc., whereas the USA Thunderbolt carries a full five-man crew.

What are the US & UK premium Mediums currently on sale?

Centurion 1 ,7/1 and AX all use the same crew layout as the firefly.

Pretty sure both have worst in tier mediums along the lines.... hard to choose which is worse. then again mediums as a whole are pretty outclassed by heavies.

Not sure about sales, but the tank rewards are Thunderbolt or VC Firefly. There's also the German Waffentrager.

You mean outclassed in general or in the specific nations? Not sure if that's the case and I definitely enjoy medium tanks far more than heavy tanks.

Both have been power creeped.

Cromwell up they are decent, but never good.

US line, T20 is good, Pershing and Patton are horribly power creeped, though Patton can still be fun, Fatton is good, but not great.

Someone recently did a very long thread on these rewards choices

The consensus was that none of them are anything special but the TBolt if you like brawling, Firefly if you like sniping/exploiting, WT if you like sitting in a bush

I would play the US med line over the UK med line.

At tier 6 I would rather play the Cromwell. At tier 7, 9 and 10 I would prefer the hamburger tank. Both tier 8 meds are not that fun imo.

indien panzer is one of the best tier 8 tech tree mediums after buffs, i played it before leo line rework, it was great before, now it should be amazing, so if you thing indien pz is bad, dont go for any murican or uk mt lines, period.

but in general, avoid british mt line after tier 6, murican line is great starting from tier 7.

All it would take it a small UFP buff and better gun handling on the Cents to make them viable. RAAC is what they should be like. but better handling due to poor alpha.

Mhm, I've been playing it recently to get to the Leos and didn't even notice the buffs. It just has a combination of average-ish mobility, unreliable armor, and massive profile that makes it difficult to use for mobile support, but it's also possible I might be playing it completely wrong and guess I should re-watch some reviews and guides.

Yeah, I saw the thread and watched reviews of the tanks. They really don't seem to be much, so I was just thinking to pick whichever would fit my grind objectives, but it seems that none of the medium lines are anything particularly impressive.

M48 is a very good vehicle.

That's what I said. Good, but not great. Perfectly workable, but not meta for the moment.

At Tier 6, the Cromwell is rather nice, and for me a keeper.
