Perhaps depending on the tier...
I am not talking about anything huge, just as a symbolic prize, perhaps 100K credits or something for tier 10, 90k for tier 9 and so on.

My idea came as I was thinking i would want to try to 3mark some, but i have no credits left to run food or shot more than usual gold ammo.

You do get a small prize.

A small visual to display on your tank.

The credit bleed of trying to 3 mark a tier 8 and above, especially non-premium tank is beyond word.

Of course the proud visual aspect is the best prize!

Although, perm tanks do make some money, but on the same time have higher requirements so it takes longer. It is a 2ble edged sword.

not a good idea, that will only make people(including me, lol) even more salty, when they fail to get the prize.

Just a small symbolic reward...
Anyway i have nothing further to add, i hope WG reads it and gives it at least a thought.

wg devs do not read eu forums ;) they do however read some of the stuff on RU forums, so post your ideas there.

As mentioned earlier, the prize you get is the 3 mark icon on the barrel, showing off that you managed to do it & it stays even after you drop below the 3 mark requirements later.

On marking tanks, I'm pretty bad at it myself, with only a few 3 marked tanks, but never used food or specially loaded gold to get the 3 marks for them tho. So can't say 3 marking bled me dry, as it didn't. Just kept playing the way I always did to get them, coupled with improving my own play over time.

Hence to me, my 3 mark in the KV-4 was very satisfying & still one of my best WoT moments.

Keep in mind, 3 marking tanks is not just about playing good, its about competing with the best players in that tank for that week & play better then (most of) them. Hence 3 marking is hard & one of the requirements is actually 'be good'. Gold & food can only help so far (note that it will ofc help you if you can play consistent but just lack that little extra edge to 3 mark a tank)

A symbolic reward, like something visual on the tank?

Not needed really, the prize is the marks on the barrel and the accomplishment.

Here's an idea:

Everytime you 3-marked a tier 10 you take a tier 8 premium for a spin.

*Poof*

100k credits appear out of nowhere!

Nice! Now pat yourself on the back and buy the next tier 10 to mark.

Not really, you just have to not shoot premium ammo much or at all and not use food.

Tbh, you get more for doing daily missions at times for 100K to make an impact then for a reward, if the tank being a moneysink when marking is your issue.

Are those in favour of such rewards in general having fewer 3 marked tanks then those against it?

10k times tank tier doesn't sound so bad imo. Is it needed? No. Is it nice? yes.

WG is throwing credits around left right and center, up to 80k for the standard daily battles already.

I really dont think giving a 80K credit bonus for a t8 tank marked, is anything huge deal. It doesnt happen everyday (to most of us), it wont ruin game economy and almost sure you will still credit bleed.

As far as gold ammo/food etc is concerned.
Im not the best player, just an average tanker. Above a certain point i try to use every help i can get.

Remember that you compare yourself to other best of tankers, and sadly this is the situation. If they already abuse gold ammo/foods/directives and improved equipment (latest trend), then you are at a disadvantage if you dont.
various CC in youtube or twitch are going fully gold and improved when 3marking tanks.

Indeed some do that.

Others take a regular 1 skilled crew or less, no premium stuff and 3-mark it from there using like shittiest the tanks on tier.

There is a huge variation on which tanks and how players do when they 3 mark tanks. Some are more try-hard and competetive with setup. Others more casual.

Credits are a symbol of commodity or service.

So a symbolic amount of credits will probably do for the entitled / poor tankers.

Personally im gonna start a campaign gathering signatures to demand a credit reward for logging in. I feel we deserve it.

People really want to get rewarded for anything these days, even if it already gives a reward.

Pretty much this, generation participation trophy, even expecting a reward when managing to wipe their own butt without creating a mess.
