Hi guys,

I'm currently very upset with this game. I got me the AMX Cda 105 via Recruitment program. I played this tank many battles today. And somehow I got Himmelsdorf, Minsk, and other crapmaps multiple times. Himmelsdorf and Minsk both at least 3 times. And the gun is trolling so hard. It often misses fully aimed shots. Doesnt matter how good your aim is if WG says NO!

But then, this happened to me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqrzAacgpPQ (you can see how stunned I was by my mouse movement. I couldnt believe it)

I know, I am not a very good player. I would say mediocre. My stats are a bit fcked because I was playing so badly before my 1 year break. But my stats are steadily climbing:https://de.wot-life.com/eu/player/ReloadMechanism-535576637/

I just don't understand why Wargaming put artys in the game. The guy who killed me has 20000 battles, 432 Wn8, and his top played tanks are 2 artys. He is a bad player, no doubt. So wargaming gives him the opportunity to sit bacl, not use WASD, only click and Booom - another player dead. You can't shoot him back. That's what makes it so frustrating.

Anyways, it might be the case that posts like this arent allowed or liked in the forum, but I just gotta tell someone what happened. I like the game and I'm trying to get better etc. But the game experience is destroyed by non skilled players who sit in the base in their arty and provocate other players....

Honestly going to the most obvious bush, where in all likelihood you were before and spotted, then getting predictably blind fired by arty, and then not moving away but waiting you be killed, doesn't really add to the "experience is destroyed by non skilled players".

I think clickers are silly as much as the next person, but them firing at common TD bushes isn't exactly the problem people have with them.

So what happened is that you need to learn how to avoid being artied because the game won't change

You take 8.29% of your damage from HE which is very high and about 3 times as much as I take from HE

If you played some games as arty you would know how to avoid it.

See your HE damage stats at https://wot-news.com/stat/nstat/eu/en/ReloadMechanism

Also there's a pinned thread for whining about arty because everyone does it

The CDA is not bad - but you need at least a 2 skill crew (6th sense and full camo skill)
and regarding the gun - well, it's french. Do I have to say more?

Aim half a second more or use 'additional' server side crosshair.

Yes I have full camo on 3 crew members, 77% BoA on them aswell and on the commander 6th sense + 77% camo. Might use a crew book for 2 mio to boost it a bit. Already used my universal book yesterday

Equipment is vents, binos and rammer

Frustration is understandable. I also tend to get it out of my system first before I reflect and see how I overexposed or did something predictable.

The CDA is actually quite accurate due to the high shell velocity, but the aim time is long. And the WoT reticle is a bit of a lie. Especially after hull movement, you really need to aim a bit longer than the reticle indicates.

Don't forget to do the same as that arty did to you, namely fire at common bushes if no better targets are available.

Yes I actually really like the gun on the cda. A bit more than on the Charioteer.

Well I just had a game on highway with 3600 dmg and 1000 assist (tracking), I needed that ;) Maybe WG checked this thread and decided to give me a good team and bad enemies :teethhappy:

So you went to the most obvious bush on that map and stayed there after arty knew he already hit you.

Well, you deserved that.

Yes I got that now

But I was actually more upset on the first hit. I mean look at it. He fired even before I reached that bush. This is a veeery rare coincidence

Obvious bush is obvious. Sit elsewhere.

Yeah many said this and I will avoid that bush as much as I can now. My intention was to spot btw. Otherways I would sit a few meters in front of the bush to not get spotted when I shoot

So what? No player with worse stats then you should be able to hit or damage you? Clip only told half the story, either you were spotted going up. Then it won't matter what hits you in that thing. Or 400 WN8 Steve had half a brain to blind fire, and thought it well enough to do it again? If it's the first one, I'm amazed you only got hit by him there.

Either way, that TD doesn't like to get hit regardless, be it by arty or anything with HE. As it's a French tank after all. The mantle can troll the odd AP bounce when you back off due to the high impact angle. But don't expect anything else in it. It's a high alpha/pen TD with a low profile. The less you are spotted the better it is for that thing. Gun is amazing if you have a good crew etc. My gun on it sits at 0.3 dispersion, and hardly fails me.

Hang in there buddy, you're doing quite well for a newish player. There are lots of players playing longer who only dream of breaking the 50% WR and many have over 15K games.

Tbh I never play on a win. My goal is always to make as much dmg as possible. And I dont really think that a good WR means that you are good because I thought the wn8 is the most important value to measure skill

Playing solo you can pad WN8......but it's harder to pad WR. What good is skill, if it doesn't win you games.

Well I guess you're right. Idk how my WR raised to 50.51 percent just by being more focused on dmg and less on kills or winning. Main reason is that I want gunmarks on my tanks. Sadly I only managed to get my first and only second MoE on my Leo PTA. I think the buff was already out a few months before I got the tank. Took me 300 to 400 battles I think. Now I have 700 because I love that tank and it fits my playstyle
