Just elited this tank. At first it was terrible, but all the bad stuff about it can be read under other topics. This otopic is for good experiences with this tank.
After all upgraded and crew over 80% you can even enjoy most of the battles with this beautiful duck.

Some of best the battles i had in WOT were with this tank. Just love it when you are hit like 82 times and still survive the battle. You just sit in there, aim in the weak spots of the enemy while he is shooting and shooting... and doing 0 damage.

I might keep this tank, after all you can hurt almost anything if you play it right..

IF these are your "best" battles, I'd hate to see your bad ones.

good things about this tank? well. when i played it for the second time i didnt throw up for the first two minutes of the round, maybe because my stomach was already empty.

crawling at 12 kmh on flat ground with a gun that cant penetrate anything...

and then, after 30 battles, you find a tier 2 arty (before the round is over !!!!) and you bounce all shots. yay. and then you get one-shotted. boom. party! happy new year!

it needs a buff, that's clear as dailylight. And while we're at it, it needs a real sound for the gun; that annoying pew-pew is already bad enough on small calibers, but a 75mm gun doing that ridiculous bark... Meh!

At least he`ll have a nice story to tell. He did kill a Tiger with a Rubber Duck *squeaky*squeaky*

I agree I had a fun time with this tank...when I threw it in the shredder!   20 games with a 25% win ratio, my alltime lowest. This is the worst tank I EVER played in WOT

82 hits? You mean the 1% of games where youre top teir? The other 99% of games are what makes this tank take the title of 'worst tank ever' from the M3 Lee.

AMX 40 shod have 50 speed but only 23 speed "it sucks" and werry weak kanon

Well i fought with amx 40 against an amx 40: i got steel wall and sniper award. It just bounced all the time. This tank is nice in its tier battles.

Well I understand this is an ironic topic since the amx 40 is a fairly horrible tank most of the time. It is possible to a hve a nice game in it occaisionally though:



My best game in it and my team still lost. 18 hits but I survived. No chance of getting back to stop cap though.

I was in a game where someone got 10 kills in the amx40 and the kolobanov medal where they single handedly won the battle, sadly I was on other team that time.

I'd really love to love this tank, really.

But after 90 battles I must say that it just doesn't fulfill its promise at all.

The Hetzer and the Lee both can easily penetrate its armor, as well as the Marder II, which is a tier 3 tank.

I get raped over and over again in those tier 4 battles. It's not working.

Is this thread a joke or something? This must be one of the crappiest tanks in the game. I'm getting 1 shooted by KV all the time.

It looks at least extremely funny. And you tend to get overlooked. I caped a victory once, because all their Heavys were engaged with our defense and nothing left behind, so I tuckered my way to their flag and layed down my eggs there

But I still would like to try the next french light tank, the AMX 12t, which as an opponent, I found rather quick, tough and powerful.

Good brakes, so u are able to avoid collision (T-50 has huge brake distance)

Good gun against all T1-T3 tanks.

The thing I enjoy most about the AMX 40 is when I die and get to play some other tank.
