A grappling hook.

Sometimes you want to help an overturned comrade but there is no way to do this (your vehicle is not heavy enough is one of the biggest obstacles).

Though I disagree that a vehicle should be sacrificed in an attempt to recover another, if this is possible through other means, would become a good addition, especially since those usually happen right in the beginning of a battle.

Grappling Hook

>Halts the timer of an overturned ally and rights the vehicle back to its tracks. Can only be used once per battle.

If that was implemented and I subsequently see an overturned EBR, I would drive past swinging my grappling hook like a handbag.

Maybe if the grappling hook could be used to overturn an enemy tank ;)

Use it in a heavy to "fish" enemy ebrs and pull them towards you.

Very sound idea, but how would we get those funny moments when tanks are piling up trying to help each other? :)

This.

Edit: and I would suggest spike strips or something like that to counter *certain* vehicles

War Thunder has it as standard equipment for all tanks, but I rarely see anyone use it. People either don't notice a flipped team mate, or they are in the middle of a fight and cannot disengage from the enemy long enough for the rescue attempt.

Plus, it is much more difficult to flip in War Thunder, at least in the arcade mode that I play. In all my 1.5k battles so far I have never flipped, only came close to flipping a couple of times - indeed I felt like I deserved to flip, but the physics are just too different compared to WOT.

I would just have WG implement a self righting mechanic that has a cooldown (hold "insert key here" for 5-10 seconds)

Deployable speed radar guns, so you can charge them 100k+ if they break the speedlimit.

That reminds me of the time many years ago when I was playing C&C against a friend on wired laptops (this was pre-broadband and state of the art at the time)

I noticed that whenever my nukes hit his base it was always empty

So I turned off my sound (which had a nukes launching beep) and my next shots blew up everything he had

He was most annoyed and accused me of cheating

Great stuff

I saw the late Ricky Jay perform this show at the Old Vic

It's an hour long but worth watching as it's utterly brilliant and moves card tricks from the fiendishly difficult to the utterly impossible

Great monologue too

Yeah I discovered Ricky Jay on YouTube a couple of years ago, that full show is such a treat, re-watch it every now and then.
