Hi,

Ya so I tried to play the game just a few moments ago, 3 battles, all were hideously bad for stop/start laggy moments and tbh logging in, selecting store, missions etc, EVERYTHING takes 8 years to do. Why is this though? Is my PC F'd? Is it a network thing?

I ran a network speed test.

Edit- It's not even just WoT, it's every online related thing it seems. Even just opening Google seems to take an age.

Eu1 runs usually fine for me even on wifi.
Eu2 is a lagging sh*tshow no matter what.

And i have to time my sessions for when my gf is at work or so as i haven't checked the router settings for bandwith limitation controls.

You've been here long enough to know that a speed test isn't worth anything at all. Use Pingplotter.

I wouldn't even know what I'm looking at tbh. When it comes to internet connection and such matters, for me it's either working or it's not. The why and the how it should be etc, washes over me.

Just think about the internet, or in this case your connection to the server, as a railroad line. You are on one end, the server on the other and in between are multiple stations where problems can appear.

And then there are bandits that try to derail your train to steal your money. oh wait no, that was a western i watched last week.

router is too old to handle many multiple connections? (nat table?)
windows uptime

wifi?

network congestion at ISP?

so many variables

glad you openly say that you don't know about those things :)

PS: the only occasion where I don't accept packet loss is when I order drinks.

Pingplotter even provide you with examples to help you interpret the traces. Or you could just post them here. Help us to help you.

Your connection is too slow, 4.9 Mbps /8 thats 612 KBs . At those speeds its common that things will take a lot longer to load.

Well the good news is it seems perfectly fine today and it wasn't even that I had another window open with naughty girls doing naughty things to each other because it wasn't even that. I bought and moved to a house in the country a few years ago to get out of the city, you know, the good air, blackberries, stepping in cow pats and all that stuff but of course the downside is the network isn't as good. So even if there was a game of ping pong going on with my network it's not like I can do anything about it since the provider is the best in the area and I'm actually lucky it's as good as that. I think there's fibre wire broadband with 10 million gig download speed passing through the area soon or maybe it's already even there but ya... it was just one bad day and it's not all the time so maybe I'll just get on with it since it's fine again today I dare say. At least it wasn't the pc melting that's the important thing and the issue did give me the opportunity to go to Lidl for stuff because I was kinda lazy yesterday and wouldn't have otherwise. Thanks.
