Hi there...

Since i have plenty of german blueprints and free exp.

i do really wanna go to the E75 with them...and just wanna know something about tiger II...i'm used to play with relatively easy-to-use tier8 heavies compared to tiger II such as t32 and caernarvon...felt quiet comfortable in both too...

saw and listen many reviews about tiger II that 'its painful to grind and play with it...' is it really bad ??

It's painful until you get the top gun. Once you get the top gun, it's still pretty painful, just not quite as much.

So in a nutshell - it is painful, yeah?

it is the second worst tier 8 after amx 65t

armour is weak, its huge, low dmg per shot

I have it because i happen to think it is one of the most beautifull models in the game. I have very limited experience in other HT's because i don't really like HT gameplay. Imo the grind is relatively painless because the stock gun is still workable in most battles. Regardless the upgrades you unlock imo the main problems with this tank remain the same: it's (lack of) speed, its size and the enemy's "2" key. When you are top tier you can have some really nice battles, as bottom tier you are more or less bound to play support sniper.

I like playing it but even a noob like me can feel that this tank is completely out of meta. As said before, it would be a nice tier 7.

It's very simple, this is a 1942 design that in WOT has to fight tanks that are designed in the 50-ties and even today remain in service. What can you expect?

It's not painful at all IMO.

It's just not great and people play it terribly giving it a worse reputation than it deserves IMO.

It's not super super slow, it has gun depression, good pen, the gun handling is decent, the gun is accurate, DPM is decent etc.

You just can't play frontline with it unless you are against tier 6s and 7s, and maybe the odd not very switched on tier 8 player, so you have to play support, and we know most WOT players can't play support unless it basically means camp and snipe.

The Tiger 2 is not a 1942 design It was designed in 1943 and it didn't enter combat July 1944, and it was late in 1944 they had any decent numbers of them (plus they were very unreliable and this wasn't really improved until 1945), it's basically a contemporary of the IS-3, Pershing and Centurion, which were designed at similar times, and arrived as the war ended less than a year after the Tiger 2 entered service.

Guess what else is on tier 8? Yep the IS-3, Pershing and the Centurion 1, and don't talk about guns, because they are all up gunned in game from their historical guns.

No it's not terribly painful, but life's too short to be wasting time on it.

It's slow. You can't really relocate very easily and are pretty defensless against most other tanks as you don't really have meaningful armor

Gun depression is useless when your turret is paper. Oh, and you're too slow to peek ridges fast enough to not be hit in the turret

Gun is OK, but alpha sux and you're just not inspiring any fear to the 400-ish alpha tanks at tier 8. If you want to stay safe you need to snipe, so you miss a lot. Sure, you can try to play "support" but given that most other heavies are faster than you, have better alpha and armour, you either don't get to "make use" or your flank dies and you die soon after.

The E75 looks much better :B

I would skip the Tiger 2 if I had the possibility. I grinded through it without much pleasure, to find that the E75 was a lot more enjoyable

It's a shame that one of the most beautiful tank models in the game comes with such a disappointing game performance.

I find that there is something a bit spooky about all those German heavy tanks with coffin shaped turrets.

You highlight exactly the problem with this quote -

Block Quote

If you want to stay safe you need to snipe

No you don't you just have to play support, use your HP, use the armour you have and bully what you can.

Block Quote

It's slow. You can't really relocate very easily and are pretty defensless against most other tanks as you don't really have meaningful armor

It's not really for a tier 8 heavy, none of them are fast, its no slower than like a Defender for example, most tier 8 heavies trundle around that 30-35kph mark.

And the armour is not that bad, you can sidescrape with it, and against like 200 pen guns its fine, it just doesn't work against higher tiers.

Block Quote

Gun depression is useless when your turret is paper

It's not paper, half of it is auto-bounce pretty much, especially if they don't have a 122, only the turret front is 185mm and you can make that difficult to hit, especially as a you have a good gun.

Block Quote

but alpha sux and you're just not inspiring any fear to the 400-ish alpha tanks at tier 8

You trade 2 for 1 with your DPM, reliable pen, and high Hp pool

It's really not as bad at all as you are making out.

it has a great gun and thats about it, the rest is just garbage.

when i first started playing this game, i went for tiger(obviously), as a matter of fact i pretty much played german tanks only, thats the main reason why they have the lowest performance, across the board, if you take a loook at my overall stats, by nation, germany is dead bottom :D although, i think that i did quite a good job, as a 48% bot, back then with red efficiency rating.

tiger 2 can still side-scrape, just have to practice, how to use autobounce angle on its side ~70 degrees, even though i was a total bot back in 2013, first half of 2014, i still had quite a few memorable games in it.

main issue now is that the whole game has evolved, but tiger 2 has stayed the same for all these years, it didnt have to meet all those blueprint OP tanks, that we have now in the game.

if you have enough free xp and blueprints, sure go for e75 straight away, it seems decent, even after all those years without getting any buffs.

Posted Image

even though i havent touched tiger, tiger 2 or e-75 in years, seems like e-75 boosted my winrate over 50% overall in 2014 :D so yeah, i guess go for it.
