Has anybody else experienced opponents who can shoot through objects?

Several times in "holmgång" I've been shot, hit, behind obstacles.

You can shoot through some obstacles... And provide a replay if you want a full explanation. I can assure you with 100% certainty there are no mods or cheats that can make people shoot through objects that are solid.

some obstacles are destructible, this can however also be a learn to play problem given the45% winrate with 1 constant factor in every game.

good thing you found the forums, now browse to the parts where game mechanics are explained and read up on what you are missing

Nope.

But I am sure you can provide us with a replay.

As said by the previous replies a replay will help a lot in such cases to clear up misunderstandings/issues etc.

If you haven't you can activate replays via the settings and later upload them to this Website

Is "holmgång" a euphemism for buttocks?

I was called a "hacker" when an IS7 was hiding behind a house. His gun was the only thing poking out. He was down to his last 200hp.

I was in my JgpzE100. I wanted to make myself laugh. Loaded HE and shot his gun.

He died.

Post game called me a hacker for shooting through building (Minsk heavy line).

And I completely understand it. From his perspective. I killed him despite him being 100% hidden behind a building (well almost 100%:justwait:)

It's also possible that you think you made it safely behind cover, but the netcode decides that his shot hit you before you make it behind cover.

Same type of thing with your shot (which you see and hear) just dissapears if you are destroyed by a shot from the enemy.

I don't see either too often, but they do happen.

Another possibility is he is shooting from elevation and sees more of you than you think.

With 1k battles he's still a newbie and allowed to ask. What's your excuse?

OP, depending where you're sat some buildings do have small gaps in them that people can shoot through. Generally if you want an explanation for weirdness post a replay to wotreplays.eu and someone will look at it and tell you what happened.

Speaking of cheats, has anyone seen this  'Mastercheat' I've heard of?

I mean it just looks like an excuse to infect ya pc but  has anyone got any knowledge if this is actually in the game?

They claim it is undetectable due to the technology it uses (randomized proccess id etc..) but if it is in the game it is very bad.

Any thoughts?

Of course they do, they're not going to tell you it can be spotted are they?

Agreed but is WG aware of it? Is it notorious, as in have they been claiming this for a while cos i've only just read about it.

Im not bill gates but I have some experience and I know you can make a program immune to a detection method if you know the method used, not all methods but specific ones if ya really want to.

I know WG say you cant cheat in this game due to it being server based but does anyone remember the old Countrerstrike cheats that were around? It took a puropose built program installed server and client side to combat this.

You're assuming it works, it's undetectable, it does what it says, it doesn't inject who knows what into your machine and it's super popular because it's had n hundred thousand downloads on the basis that they said it does. Given I presume they're trying to sell it I'd take it literally every claim they make with a handful of salt.

Counterstrike is not a server side game, it's client side and that means players can mess with the client. WoT is serverside so all major decisions are made by the server and cannot be manipulated. There is no "spot everything" cheat because the server decides whether you can see a tank or not, not your client. There is no machinegun cheat because the server decides what your reload is, not your client. There is no 10,000 alpha instagib cheat because the server decides how much damage you do.

The only thing 'cheats' can do is provide information to the player that is provided by the server but not generally displayed. For example 'broken objects' cheats that show map objects being destroyed is information required to be sent to all players to keep the state of the map in sync.

Just a reminder on this: I literally edited the vehicle xml for the KV-2® To have an accuracy of 0.1, 40k damage, 2 Second reload and insane mobility (I forget the exact numbers to be honest, and I'm not digging up the image), but as soon as you put that into game none of those edits are in effect and it has the same old stats as everyone else. It's not just some text edits, these scripts do literally control how stuff work, but edits on my end aren't going to affect at all the versions the server has.
