As part of Aslain's Mod Pack found on https://wgmods.net, there is a mod showing current hitpoint health on all tanks on the minimap. The health is shown as a coloured circle.

My question is: Notice the gone-stealth enemy St. Emil on the minimap. It was spotted, but is now gone unspotted, but you can still see its current health. Is that legal?

Would it be better to make a ticket about this ? Would Support then give a standard answer that any approved modpack is approved until it isn't ? Interesting to know...

Nebuched, I'm fairly new to mods - are you saying that anything found on the https://wgmods.net site is approved by Wargaming? I guess it is... It looks official :)

As I know, it is legal, because it shows the HP changes just in your radio range. Outside of the radio range, the HP stays unchanged.

It doesn't give you any information you did not already have (though you may not have paid attention to it). So it's probably legal.

Well, WG staff did say so in the past, but then there are many people that were banned while claiming that they only used mods from the portal. And as WG won't tell you why you got banned there is always a risk.

...

I've never been banned, so I'm curious. Will support give you the reason that you are banned if you ask them ?

It is legal for now but is a little risky imo.

Just use common sense and you will fine.

A general rule to follow is if it gives you an advantage over vanilla players then it will be illegal.

If you want to be 100%, use WG's own modpack.

https://wgmods.net/16/

WGMods site isn't completely safe.. just up until recently some of the biggest modpacks (Solo, Aslain) featured illegal mods.

It is proof that WG do not pre-check mods on that site so browse with caution.

There is zero risk using this mod, as it's allowed. More over it's present in many big modpacks as well.

WGMods website is safe, so are all modpacks on that site, do not spread rumours and false information!!!

"It is legal for now but is a little risky imo." - hmm, remaining HP of tanks spotted in your viewrange is part of XVM since... well, I don't even remember XVM without it. Those HP circles on a minimap were added/coded years back (4-5), after an update for XVM that allowed custom elements on a minimap.

Same goes for illegal mods in large modpacks. No idea what you are talking about here. All the mods on WGMods are allowed and modpack makers are keeping everything " legal " since FPP and even before that, but there were no guidelines before, only fair-play mindset of each person. But as it usually goes on online forums, you are the expert.

Thanks all and Aslain for the answers.

It's a good mod (circles on the minimap) as it makes me focus on the minimap even more. It's beautifully made and I can modify it to accomodate for my screen resolution/size. It would be awesome to have a control panel for that, though ;)

The reason I asked is ... In the heat of the battle, I can't keep track of 1-15 enemy tanks and their remaining hitpoints when they go un-spotted. This mod helps me keep track of that on the minimap - at least to some extent.
