what? Its a good tank, it was great when it had armor, before rebalance, but now it has way better gun and can still bounce some shots. For mist players gun depression is the issue, why they cant make it work, fir me even 3 degrees are fine as i really liked 416 back in the day.

416 has alpha, DPM and camo which kinda compensates for poor armour and rear-mounted turret with limited traverse.

430II has poor alpha and DPM is nothing special but you still have all those disadvantages. Sure, it has great view range for a soviet tank, it's a little bit faster than the other two meds and the gun combines the best parts of both T54's guns but this is not enough. This tank should get some "woah" stats just to compensate for the lack of fully-traversable turret.

I feel like I can contribute more with 416 as bottom tier.

It did get buffs not that long ago. As it was beyond trash before, worse then the WZ-120 IMO. 219 pen, more armor but no mobility and trash ground resistance. After the buffs it moved like a medium, got more pen, more DPM and even more view range. It's above fine now tbh.

416 is arguably still one of the best tier 8 mediums, and definitely better tier for tier than the 430 II. But I would still play the 430 II over the WZ-120 tbh.

I haven't researched the WZ-120 yet, due to several warnings about the end of that tank line.

However -3 degree gun depression should be an interesting (depressive ?) challenge. It will defenetly take some time to adjust to this type of gameplay.

Gun looks ok, but the tank need map positions with no ridges.... Hull down positions would be great, but unfortunately I don't know many that would be usefull.

Premium ammo with pen 340 + dmg 330-550 is sweet.

Obj 430 v2 is difficult to play and generally on the weak side.

Compare it to the wz-120 though, it is a masterpiece of a tank.

I just noticed I had researched and bought the Object 430 Version II in garage (but never played it) … lol

My idea was to go to the K-91 directly with converted XP.

Has anyone figured out how to play the 430 v2 ?

Rear mounted turret, with hardly any armor to side scrape… Perhaps snipe with the rear peeking out from a rock / house ?

The gun depression at -4 degrees makes it difficult in curved terrain. Hull armor is hopeless….

If I put in a good crew with the following maxed: BIA, Cammo, 6th Sense, Observer, Situation Awareness + Food:

  • Aim time is 1.8 secs (great)
  • Spread at 100 meter is 0.31 (not bad)
  • Cammo rating is 45 (when standing still) and 27 (moving), behind a 25% medium bush the numbers are 70 & 52 (pretty good).
  • DPM = 3259 with premium ammo (pen 330, dmg 330ish)

It will defenetly take some time to figure out the playstyle…. with alot of failures :)

Edit: I'll perform a few runds on the test server before deciding to pimp up the vehicle. According to you guys the tank is a piece of s*** so the test shouldn't take too long….. :)

It looks cool and have a a fast reload. What more do you want from a tank?

I 3-marked the T28 HTC recently. It have like 4.4 degrees of gun depression. That was super irritating to play with.

3 degrees is even worse, though it have a turret, which allows for creative use of terrain in a way the T28 HTC is uncapable off.

Currently using the WZ-132 which have like 5 degrees. And those 5 degrees are pretty much always enough and isn't really problematic at all.
