why does the game need tanks like this, which can't hit anything without improved equipment? obj.430U is another example.

isn't this pay to win in a sense?

I have a Defender. Most overrated sack of **** in world of tanks. Maybe I'm just unlucky, but the armour never holds and if I hit anything it's a miracle. My win rate in the IS3a is eight or nine points higher

Defender is annoying to play against as a low tier, that does not mean that it's an enjoyable tank to play. Slow, bad gun handling... But for bobs it's ideal

Defender has been power creeped lmao. The only thing unique about it is the upper plate. Then again, anyone with a brain knows not to shoot it there.

Defender is one of those tanks where you'll win a lot but not enjoy it.

Depends on how you look at it. Most tanks are not meant to be snipers. Russian 122mm are one of them. But ofc any crew skills or equipment, improved or not can reduce that impact. Even on traverse or ground resistance. You notice who has a 75% driver in their premium tank on some surfaces. The better the crew, the less impact downsides on the tanks have. Same with equipment. The more you play, the better the crew gets. And the more you play, the more bonds you get to acquire such equipment. Or even time invested via events like most already have.

Point is, regardless of how trash the tank is at a task. The gap vs one with 1K games and 50K games with better crew and equipment will always be there as it stands now. So I would not say it's not pay 2 win as such.

Defender is simply unbalanced - too much armor at the expense of a bad gun.

It will work in certain situations but completely fail in others.

Good players will make it work (as with any other tank) but it is a blessing for bad players cause it is one of the most forgiving tanks in the game.

On the contrary, the bad gun will limit the ways you can utilize the tank. Good players are better at using a gun and mobility than using the armor as a way to control the battle.

Sometimes the battle controls itself.

Defender powercrept?

Don't think so. It's just broken. Somewhat like the Leafblower.

no clue, as I'm still to play a battle. But after playing it in frontlines... man, the experience is something... That gun is a piece of art.

I get it; it really seems idiot proof. Probably is great for bouncing missions and other dumb craplike that. But... no clue what's the fun in playing the tank.

I already hate soviet hts; this ones seems the epitome of that. Armor will leak regardless; but you'll still bounce a ton due to rng. Gun will hit sometimes; but when rng wants, not when you want. I've tried to like soviet tanks for 10k battles. Still f hate them.

dumbest crap ever. I would never pay a dime on such a PoS(but dropped from lootboxes, so whatever).

I got mine in a loot box. Is3a too. One is good; the other is a steaming pile of Defender.
