Community of tankers i need your help

As an older player of world of tanks (in my 40s) my eyes aren't as sharp as some of you guys. Can you watch this replay and tell me if the person playing in the HWK 30 who i shoot at the 14:00 mark of this replay is using the auto repair mod as he seems to me to fix his tracks in less than half a second. If he is what do i do about it i don't mind getting out played and accept i'll never be near the best player in the game but i want the playing field to be fair

You got the track sound and icon. But in free cam the tracks were never broken for him to even use a kit. So I suspect you did crit him vs tracking him. Even tho you got the sound and the icon for it. So it could be a client/server communication error that displayed it wrong.

But, what about the post-game stats? On the first page there you get all the damaged modules listed. Was the tracks red there?

Well, keep it in mind for next time. The client can fool you a bit at times by making you think you did bounce due to the shield icon, but you hit the gun etc. It can help to reduce some confusion in cases like this. As again, I doubt he did use anything as the replay showed he was never tracked.

You can have the repair keys set to some mouse buttons.

I can repair tracks pretty quickly since I have lots of spare buttons the 123456 keys are in easy reach.

So repair heal crew and change ammo type is fast and easy.

Occasionally I mess up with the sequence but usually I'm ok and if I use large repair and med kits its nearly instant.

I can fix my tracks almost instantaneously by tilting my mouse wheel to the right. Less than 100 mS.

Crikey. That's a thing? My usual tactic when repairing a track is to stab wildly at the keyboard and hope something happens. Usually takes about  minute.

He's asking for clarification rather than outright accusing.

Also, the tracks thing is a semi-known bug atm, afaik...

At 1/16th speed, I don't see the tracks visibly being broken, so... probably the bug thing.

One point of confusion for me, though is... why do you exit sniper view before shooting him?

I have my repair kit on 5, With my fingers on WASD, all I need to do is quickly go up with my index finger and tap 5 twice, usually I have my tracks repaired before the tank stops. So even without binding it to a mouse button, with a bit of practice people can be really fast.

Accusing someone of cheating is against the forum rules.

But you know...:child:

There are a multitude of benefits to discussions like whether someone was cheating or not. It became quite quickly apparent the person wasn't, but if they were don't you think they should forfeit their rights? Secondly, discussions of this nature are extremely informative. I personally think it's great the OP chose to discuss it here rather than bringing out the proverbial pitchfork. We have to be very careful to not be overly politcially correct and we should learn to read each others statements carefully before simply reacting. I'm sure WG would and does veto this type of thing outright, but you have to wonder why - do you think they perhaps don't really enjoy discussing the numerous vulnerabilities in their game or is it truly in the vein of the harm caused by naming and shaming?

Considering the amount of posters who will cry cheat just because they got shot don’t you think that having a name and shame rule has some merit?

The point was that OP wrote decide rather than determine which is what the other poster commented at.
