Numerous quarrels arise from people driving cerelessly right after the match starts, and those who don't move immediately may be in others' way, too.

What's the best way to combat this?...

Ghosting.

First 10-20 seconds after the match starts, all tanks are transparent and can drive through eachother. Good idea?

...and if someone tries to drive two tanks within eachother, the solution would be to just slowly morph them apart over a period of 5 seconds before/after the transparency fades away.

Tbh, would not be the worst idea on either the lights alone that need to get out fast. Or, big slow sluggers that will be in the way, even if they don't want to be.

To be fair, I would far more prefere to be able to move around a small area around the cap/spawn while countdown goes on. At least, when RNG set me to the extreme right and I have to go left, I don't lose those 15-20 seconds more to get to the useful positions...

Those could also help LTs and fast MTs to be closer to the position they intend to get to.

Brilliant idea. Let's have it. You just reduced game toxicity by 20 %.

Good idea.

Spawning to Encounter mode in Himmelsdorf is a nightmare.

Cool idea would help alot.

Until then:

  • refrain from S-key at spawn
  • when you need to turn use A-key or D-key only!
  • always cross path behind others

The worst spawning is when a similar paced tank goes alongside you and slowly pushes you towards a non-desired direction. When you finally decide to break for him and cross behind him, he changes direction and goes your exact direction

Thing is that some load slower than others. So preset spots are still needed and will be occupied, as not everyone can make use of such a system. But having the option to pick a spot on the other flank, even in a HT to get to your desired spot faster would ofc help for the rest.

The ELC EVEN 90 tore off to the left after spawning, realising then, that all the heavies and TD's had gone right....he changed direction to spot for them.

A Maus blocked his way, but no problem, he could drive through him.....as he did the 20 second ghost counter ended. He was trapped inside the Maus.......and Steve, seeing an open field ahead....carried him to his death.

The End.

Preset spawns should be the initial condition generated by the server, but then, in my idea, you could move around during countdown, up to a certain distance from the spawn center. Something like a small red line you can't cross untill countdown get to 0 and battle start.

No. If people haven't got the common sense to make way for light tanks or steer around others maybe they should find a different game rather than keep catering to the inept.

I think you got it all wrong, what is meant here is catering to the competent players who suffer (slow down, cannot get to good locations in time) from their inept team mates' driving shenanigans at spawn.

But where does it stop, there is too much dumbing down going on.  Team damage removed rather than removing the people that abused it for longer time out's, removing bumping at spawn, likely that would evolve into all bumping, down the line it's a click enter battle program that automatically drives you to the best spot aims for you and fires the gun.

Players need to know how to drive  who has spawned where and how to to act and not act like bellends

Pretty good idea.

Though is it still possible for the enemy to shoot you when you're a ghost? Cause I've seen my allies die within 20 seconds or so. Maybe reduce it to 10 seconds
