Since WG is discussing a new Team-communication system, Here a suggestion that IMHO would really help:

If you're fired upon by an unspotted enemy, you do know the tank & approximate direction (indicated by game) that the shot came from, and you can probably guess the exact/most likely minimap square the shot came from.

-Why not allow players to CTRL-Drag the enemy player entree from the enemy teamlist to the minimap and then

-Indicate to all friendly players that enemy tank with a question mark (to indicate not spotted, but as a guessed location) on the minimap

-remove guesses as soon as tanks are actually spotted (or guessed by a different player to be in another square)

-Optionally reward a guessing player (with some XP) that guessed correctly, the moment the tank is actually spotted in the correctly guessed minimap square (by the same player or a team - mate)

I like the idea. I usually try to send to teammates the approximate position of tanks that fire at me too, so would be a welcome command if introduced. :)

Most people don't know how to use the basic minimap or cannot even handle the information present in the vanilla client (range circles, last spotted enemy positions, etc.)

At the start of the game, I shall drag all enemy tanks to their spawnpoint on the minimap and then yolorush them to give myself the xp for correctly predicting their location. :great:

Anyone who played this game for more then a week should see the problems in your suggestion and why it would never work let alone improve things.
The minimap is an already often either neglected or abused tool. Adding "more" complexity to it is like having 10 monkeys on an lsd trip playing on the controls of an icbm fireing mechanism.
There is a "slight" chance of something bad happening.
