So, utterly shite then? :(

I've got one and can confirm, it's dire. Funny thing is it was OK(ish) at tier X before the nerf...

Yeah, and just consider it's been buffed half a dozen times already.

Really? You mean it was even worse than this at some point? :amazed:

Yep. Originally it was the tier 10, but never really cut it there so was replaced by the CAX, and reintroduced in inferior form as a tier 8 premium.

It was truly awful. The turret was easily penned by anything of equal tier or higher (although could stop tier 6 and some 7s), top speed 40kph, etc. It's awfulness was impossible to avoid, and so it went through a series of "buffs". I put that term in quotation marks, because they were all very small, and none of them dealt with the core awfulness of the tank anyway. Eventually it got a big turret armour buff and the speed was nudged up to 50kph (although the engine is weak and the agility poor) which finally dragged it up the level of unusably bad to just bad, and here we are.

I did enjoy playing my FV 4202 in Frontline, in own tier this tank still is pretty good & powerful.

It's basically just a centurion which is already a pretty weak T8 but worse in just about everyway.

Correction. When it first went ot tier 8, the speed limit was 35...

Just about to watch this video now but I'm gutted, as I was going to ask my GF to buy me this tank for my birthday.

As far as I'm concerned the only good British crew trainer is the Excelsior, and then only really if you have a ton of gold ammo (I carry 26). The MBP is absolutely devastating in the right situation and the right map, but it's trollishly slow and its gun handling is appalling. I've never been able to make anything of the AT15A as it is just too slow and specialised at a tier when I'm facing high-quality opponents in tanks that can run rings round it. I would consider the Firefly VC but am absolutely rubbish in my Sherman III. I am also horrible in the Cromwell B which also has appalling gun handling. The Brits can't be allowed to be good at everything; that's the speciality of Soviet tanks.

AC4 Experimental is a very decent crew trainer
