What kind of error message pops up when the game crashes?

If it says something like, "graphics driver has crashed", undo any overclocking you've done to your card. WoT doesn't like to run smoothly on overclocked GPUs...

Hope this helps:

I had the same issue as you few months ago.

Tried literally everything, from driver cleaning utilities, wiping GPU PCI-E contacts, swapping GPU with my friend, Windows backup etc.
In the end, I did the usual HW testing 101 and coming to "test your memory", found out one of my RAM sticks had errors.

After removing it, all my GPU issues were gone.

You mentioned your RAM was fine, but try removing one and see how it goes.

My guess is WoT doesnt differentiate HW errors and goes with the most obvious case - GPU.

Lets start with first things first, your GPU drivers are up to date?

You mention that your PSU isn't the issue, would you mind telling which PSU it is and how old it is. An entire list of components / specs would be useful as well.

Is there anything you have tried yourself to see if it would fix the problem? Other than that, I can recommend trying to perhaps re-install the drivers using DDU. Maybe removing the GPU and putting it back in. Run memtest for a night to see if your memory might have any issues.

TNX MAN

What is HW? And how to use it test?

This is the system RAM - 8 GB of memory in 2 modules

I have lots of troubleshooting experience but since you have already decided it's not those things without doing any troubleshooting then is there any point in trying?

Windows has a built in memory diagnostic. this should help.

It would be worth checking you have up to date graphic drivers.

If that does not fix it and the memory diagnostic does not find any issues then try and borrow a power supply.

1- yeah - draiver is last version

2- yes - psu is 680w 80 gold plus green - It is even beyond the power consumption of the system

3- yes - Change driver/Removing RAM/Install DirectXs/Install Windows Libraries/Install the controller/BIOS update/Game repair and ....

4- re-install the drivers using DDU >> Done

tip
Battlefield and Metro Redux are running today - But now, it closes like a wot!!!!

Maybe Windows has a problem !? Reinstalling Windows may solve the problem!!!

Okay, so what PSU do you have? "680w 80 plus gold" doesn't say anything (although I have a feeling it's probably the Be Quiet! Straight Power E9), and how old is it? Anyways, since you seem to have done a lot already, I can only recommend running memtest for a night to see if it comes up with any memory issues. Reinstalling windows could be a good try as well, also, what version of Windows are you using, Windows 10 or perhaps an older version?

If nothing helps, then it could very well be the case that your GPU is starting to die. But for now lets just assume it's either the PSU, memory or something with the Windows installation.

Check how to computer pagefile is set. I also had a problem if it was set by the system.

I set it myself, if you have 8G ram then set minimum and maximum size 16384. It worked for me.

And maybe knocking your house down will fix a broken lock.

Do you think the system memory has a problem?

I think it is very easy to test, and free.  You can use memtest or you can use the memory diagnostic tool built into Windows.

If it is memory then reinstalling Windows will likely create more problems than it fixes.

You should also visually check capacitors for leaks.

I remember that back in the good old days the initial advice for any issue was usually "reinstall your OS"

Back then I had Win XP with an upgrade disc to Vista (yes, I know), this required about 2 days of computer time as it chugged its way through service packs and never fixed the issue, while causing some new problems all of its own.  Since then I have resolved never again to do a hard wipe and reinstall.  Fortunately Win 10 does seem very reliable

Where can I find the power supply details?

I bought it 3 years ago

memtest Is it a program?

may win: Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 1809

If I do not get results, I will change Windows first

computer page file where is it?

I think the problem is the amount of memory size of different drives
I changed one of the drives to install Forza 4 And after that the problems started !!! Maybe I'm wrong! I do not know ...
Then I reset the memory size of the Windows drive - But again the problem was not solved - And appeared in all installed games :/ forza 4 - battlefiled 4 - metro 2033!  age of ampire! and wot .....

Thats your problem, try reisntalling c++ redistributable (visual studio), direct x and NET. framework
All can be found in microsoft sites, just remember to select the correct architecture 32bit = x86, 64bit =  x64

If those dont work, try swapping cards and ram with your buddies

I remember that back in the good old days the initial advice for any issue was usually "reinstall your OS"

I have always preferred to try and fix problems, especially when they look to be hardware issues.  Trying to install an OS with faulty memory in place is asking for trouble.

If nothing helps, then it could very well be the case that your GPU is starting to die.

This might be the case... A 960 is pretty old, and weak by today's standards, though running WoT won't be an issue.

However, if it's been gamed on a lot, if proper fan settings weren't applied, and if it wasn't dusted every so often, it might be on its last leg.

My old 950, now in my mom's computer, still works and has seen some heavy overclocking, but it has never peaked above 75°C on the core and has been dusted regularly. Near the end of my use of it, some snow/artifacting could be seen when overclocked...so I retired it.

OP, what brand of GPU is it? If it's one of those smaller ones with a weak heatsink, chances are the temps have been slowly killing it over time if left unmonitored.
