Hello,

In preparation for equipment 2.0 I have been saving credits and pre making builds

Now

typical set up yes I know Rammer , Stabzlier / Optics / Vents

A combination of those

But how much of a boost are vents really?

It says 5% on crew skills but this bears out to a 2.3% increase in actuality on the stats of the tanks

so for tanks such as preogetto who cant have rammer I am thinking of having

Stablizer / Turbocharger / and either vents or optics

But are vents actually worth it now with equipment 2.0, I understand before it was nice just to have a slight boost but isn't it better to have bigger increase in one area than a very small increase across the board or would you still say vents are key post patch 1. new?

anther one am thinking of having on Sentinal tier 6 Turbocharger / Rammer / Stabiliser

or would you say forget the turbocharger and have vents instead? or optics

Vents have minor impact, there are other factors that will influence your game alot more.... but all tiny buffs helps offcourse.

Vents are great if you have good view skills and can get viewrange 450+ meter without using coated optics.

Bond vents are almost as good as an aim unit in a non bonus slot so if you’re thinking of improving your aim you might as well use them if you can afford them.

Vents are very useful , they increase your accuracy , aim time , reload , turret and track traverse , concealment and view range. Vents are as useful as a rammer

Bounty vents get upgraded. Do you have any bond equipment yet? Also this new equipment could get quite expensive so you may need load of credits as well.

I have a lot of tier x I am going to sell, because tier X is total carp. How much cash do I need to make a typical tier 6 into a monster?

Depends on what you want to "boost" with it in the first place. Do you care about the few extra meters of view range, 0.02 seconds faster aim time or the better reload time? Or is it just one of them? As if it's the last one, then not really. If you want to boost everything you can, it's not useless. And might get more vital next patch, as it's a universal kit. Meaning it will get the bonus on slot 1 regardless of class. And can go as far as 8.5% extra. I usually like to use it, even on the current test server on high tier lights and meds. Lower down when the tank is blind as is, or the reload is too fast as is. It's not gonna matter much, even with 6% vs other bonuses the new kits give.

I mostly use vents for a tiny bit more view range, accuracy and reload speed.

Of course they help almost anything on the tank, but those three stats are the ones I think about the most.

It's definitely a tough choice for me to swap optics for vents sometimes (while running food of course)

I always use vents in tanks where I can get good enough view range without coated optics. Because why not make your tank overall just a touch better if the only downside is a bit less view range which is already above max spotting distance? On tier 9 and 10's I have with my setups 460 view range anyway. This requires use of food though, so if you are looking to save credits then I would go with optics.

The vents boost is small, but because it applies to everything the boost happens with high marginal returns (i.e. it is not a big boost where you get diminishing returns at the end).

With equipment 2.0 vents do get a lot of competition.

Example American Autoloaders T69, T54E1 and T57 Aimtime is key so the combo was Vents + Stabilizer + GLD and potentially food because it is that important (and reload of clip is less).

Rammer, optics, vents. Setup I use on 95% of my tanks.

VR is king.
