How is this fair? why the kills are valued so much? VK literally just finished the job of others while I was busting my [edited]dealing damage on tier X tanks

The person wanted aaaaaalllll the xp from that game to go to that person instead of split out over the team.

Methinks its not just the kills, but were you perhaps shooting targets others were spotting?

And, as Nuklear Slug says: you won, so why the salt?

Because in ranked for example it makes the difference between winning and losing a chevron. So many times I lost by few xp points and 2 times on 1 xp because the kills are valued so much, while damage so little.

Yet the way that tanks in the game work, then having 1 hp or a billion hp doesn't change the fact that they can still shoot at you.

So shutting down a tank should always be rewarded, as it means that the threat of the other team actually decrease.

It depends how the game played out.

Your screenshot only shows the end result but I assume the VK was doing heavy tank things and fighting up close so, that you were further back sniping. He got 3 kills, you only got 2. That he survived the battle whilst you died (xp penalty). Etc..

It's still a win. Take it and be happy.

True, but he just finished the tanks. I know the got more xp because he was in tier VIII and he killed tier X tanks, but I believe the damage is much more important than last kills. Just look at TVP then. 5k damage and 2 kills and he is below him? cmon now... even with the assumption than TVP might have shoot tier VIII tanks it should not be below VK.

Sniping from distance usually gives less xp then fighting up front. So the TVP must have been sniping?

At the same time you don't know if that TVP was padding his statistics and therefore avoiding to shoot at low health targets, whenever it was a target rich environment of healthy targets.

Also you get rewarded with more exp if you are brawling with multiple enemies while dealing damage, at least that is my experience whenever I play a heavy there "plugs" a weak flank.

Not really, he did good damage and probably got a bucketload of stun assist too if he timed his shells right.

But the exp system is not the same in ranked, so why the salt? In ranked you get exp for kills based on the amount of damage total you did to that enemy vehicle, giving max exp only if you dealt 100% of the damage to the vehicle. If you play ranked, maybe you should actually follow up what goes on there.

This is how it should be in the random games as well.
