Yet another option is, that the issue is recognized but rated as low importance. When viewing release schedule, the work rated with higher importance get more attendance and lower ones get postponed. I could see that getting Equipment screen ready and major functions to work as intended gets the priority, and smaller things like end up in the next release issue list. And as moderator Homer_J mentioned elsewhere, WG goes through old-school massive patch releases instead of agile, constant development phases. So I see this scenario also as a possibility.

This, to me, is the most likely reason.  Players can use the comparison tool instead so it is not a “show stopper”.

For me, the big problem is reputation.  People already believe WG are greedy and here is a little bug that just happens to result in the unwary giving money to WG when they don’t need to.

It is a very convenient mistake and fixing it might reduce player spend.

However, never confuse incompetence with conspiracy :D

Ah, internal company task ticketing and tasking systems and processes.  I don’t miss them at all. :P

Except in all those Tier 5/6/7 cases where WG deliberately converted existing installed equipment to a new EQ2.0 class that's actually incompatible with the tank on which the equipment is installed, thereby directly FORCING players to uninstall the equipment and buy replacement items of the correct EQ2.0 class if they wish to keep using the particular vehicle.

You can demount it for free and since the correct equipment is less than half the price of the currently mounted equipment you can sell the old one, buy the new one and gain credits.

I really think this is why the release of Crapquipment 2.0 is being coupled with the Amnesty BS; I think they KNOW they're going to lose players and hope some banned players didn't create new accounts and will come back to fill in the losses.

Yup bad equipment I don't want +the need to spend potentially millions of cr to get back the capability I had with removable binos +cam nets....

Think I'll wait till 50% disc +maybe not even bother.

Good old wg "randomly" can ensure my tanks get the least suitable maps...

+310mm pen shells, fail to pen scout side armour...

So being properly equipped is usually negated by wgs "random" ability to screw u over.

Still better that, than be one of their supporters.

Not sold directly, but, for 6,500 gold, you could unlock the parallel line of rewards from the Battle Pass, which includes an extra Bounty Equipment.

We are now on the second iteration of Battle Pass, meaning there are people, like me, who have spent 13,000 gold and 6,000,000 credits to obtain and upgrade two of them that were otherwise unobtainable.

They were announced here:

https://worldoftanks...ws/battle-pass/

Thank you for commenting and the extra information on the topic of Bounty equipment promises not kept. Looks like someone (the mythical tie-person, perhaps) has made a business decision without providing the WG Customer Service any nicer response options. Customer Service can only provide those answers they are allowed to give, their hands are tied.

As a friendly note: I would recommend a tad more polite discussion style with the Customer Service (works with any customer service in any company). They don't make any of the business decisions, and they are tied by the internal company rules to a limited amount of answers and corrective actions. The more negative language, the less motivated they feel to help (they are just people after all). Think it as a life hack; being nice to Customer Service people can sometimes provide unexpected help or compensation :-)

I want to underline, that I do understand your frustration. WG could definitely have said at least sorry (and not just hide behind EULA). What their response to you effectively was, that customer is wrong and we can do whatever we want, just because EULA. No, not this way. That's in conflict with the basic customer service rule, that the customer experience is always true and real, even if the company was technically correct.

Expensive 1%

any amount of gold.PNG

When it comes to the 1% difference, some might argue it's a small difference. But that's not the point. I understand easily, that it's a matter of both principle and money. The frustration is real.

A promise of something made customers burn their money. Then that promise was not held, not explained why and not even acknowledged that there was a promise in the first place - and then hide behind the EULA. This is very bad customer service practise. The Finger points at that person, who made the business decision and provided the Customer Service department with a very limited toolkit to handle the issue.

Should anyone start belittling the issue (why complain about 1% difference) there's the money aspect to come back with (like you did, just with different words). This 1% cost you 2 x 6.400 gold = 2 x 24,04 € (with the standard exchange rate) = 48,08 €. I would say, that's a very expensive 1%. And if it is not a significant issue, then why not give you the money back?

Question about Bounty resale value

By the way, would you be able to help me out? I have been looking for the sell prices of upgraded Bounty equipment. There's no hover-over in the game telling me that (unless I first spend 3m credits to upgrade one). I see only resale price of 50.000 credits for the non-updated Bounty equipment. (Even though this is ridiculously low value, I'm not complaining about it in my case, because I received them for free from some mission.)

  1. Do you have a different resale value, because you used gold to obtain the non-upgraded Bounty equipment?
    • A quick calculation 6.500 gold x 400 = 2.6m credits, so on that principle your resale value could/should potentially be 1.3m credits.
  2. What's the resale value of upgraded Bounty equipment?
    • If it's 1.5m credits, it's still lacking behind of the general 50% refund value (because the 3m credit price is only for upgrading the equipment, not including the complete purchase process - which for you cost actual real money).

No bonus from a dedicated slot

The only "benefit" that comes from upgraded Bounty equipment, is that it retains its stats in any equipment slot (just like the Special equipment bought with bonds). In general Bounty equipment is 1% better in any slot than the equivalent regular equipment in a dedicated equipment slot. Special equipment is 2% better in the same manner.

This can be looked also from a different point of view: why Bounty and Special equipment don't receive the bonus from a dedicated equipment slot? If that was the case, then both Bounty and Special equipment would become so much more interesting.

You do know that if you buy something via ebay and it turns out to be 'not as described' you can put a claim in to get your money back, a mate of mine has done that and was refunded everything he had spent/wasted for the last 18 months, his account was closed but he wasn't bothered at all.

This is a bit ambigious.

Do you mean he claimed for a refund from ebay and had his ebay account closed (after getting his money back)?

WG may not have the same approach.

No he claimed from ebay for digital goods he bought for a game that he claimed were not as described and ebay refunded him from the games account, the game closed his account.

I do not trust PayPal. If you name your company so it sounds like a platonic escort service and then fail to provide those services, there is something fishy going on! :izmena:

It's a small yet annoying "feature". Today i had also a forced demount, that's new...

I died early on battle (yeah...) ==>> garage ==>> started re-equipping one of the tanks. I just had destroyed one of the equipment  from the first slot- Because it's the same price for the Class 3 equipment 50k credits (unless it's Improved Hardening, then it's 40k credits), so why waste money on the cheapest equipment. Exchanging a 50k Demount Kit to an Class 3 equipment worth 25k as resale value feels a bit pointless. I want to avoid buying Demount Kits, if I only can.  Back to the incident.

I was just clicking on the new equipment, when puff!  Still holding the new target equipment in hover-over, when suddenly equipment from the second slot is gone. :-O I didn't click that. I had just emptied slot 1 and I was busy re-equipping it. There was no confirmation asked. Then popped up the small info screen telling me that "Game services are not available" or something like that (went so fast that I didn't get any screen shots). Then came the battle results from my last battle. (I've noticed that every time when I'm in garage and a battle ends, there's a short freeze for a second or two.) After that I had to really recollect what just happened. One Demount kit gone, for a 25k resale value item.

I have seen this only once and I don't have any screenshots. I think it's pointless to raise the issue based on one single incident, because it could have been caused by whatever network hickup. If it happens again, then there's a feature repetition and I will post it to the bug thread.

Hehee, I can understand why :D There are so many different ways of handling this. Sometimes badly organised, sometimes it's a click-fest through a gazillion menus and takes too much time, sometimes there's a ticketing system that only few people use (because it was never followed up and people got sick with it), you know these and other sorts.

I am one of those, who at the beginning of their new job is asking about ticketing systems (because sometimes after company merges there can be multiple systems for different uses) and if anyone has created historical statistics out of my new team's work. If not, then I'd create them myself. Numbers. Historical statistics. Trend charting. Etc etc. *excited noises* I know, I am a bit weird, maybe I fell of my crib as a baby, or something. But I guess this kind of weirdness is a good quality for a BA....

BS ideas 2.0 :D   Wg has modified premium tanks at low tier. So Pz S35 and others are nerfed in this way. So what about a compensation on premium tanks? You touched on premium tanks ,so you should compensate the price loss... .... y firm...
