Saxsan, we need to have an intervention about how many Premiums you're buying. :hiding:

Don't worry, he still has less than me, and I'm still perfectly healthy. :)

As for the STA-2, coincidentally enough I started playing it recently and I quite like it.

The armor isn't really there, but may occasionally troll.

But for me, the highlight is really it's surprising speed. It just feels like it takes off without any issue, and I'm not even using a turbocharger on it.

In general I'd say it's a balanced medium tank, not OP like the LIS or Bourrasque or many other prems. If you enjoy fast meds that just get around to support wherever they can, you'll like it.

it's sub par when you consider the other OP premium meds which you will be facing more often than not.

This. And my experience is that it cannot snapshot, so you need to fully aim in your shots.

Its a pretty solid t8 med.

Probably vents at slot 1, plus rammer and optics on 2 and 3.

I use the good ol' rammer, stabilizer and optics.

However, I would really fancy a turbocharger as well, I just really don't know what to trade in for it. :(

playing my sta 2 with turbo, rammer and stab same as you and I am very happy with that. It can bounce some shots from gun mantlet and can snapshot. It's decent medium tank with nice gun and speed.

I do not own an STA-2 but was interested in some of the comments in this thread. I went and looked at the speed, power to weight and terrrain resistances of the STA-2, the STA-1, the CS-52 LIS and the Progetto 46. The STA-2 is joint top speed at 55kmh with the Progetto and has a power to weight ration of 19.12 compared to the Progetto's 18.63. However the Progetto is faster due to having superior terrain resistances. I was hitherto unaware that the STA-2 was quite so nippy around the battlefield. Maybe next time there is a trade in my might get rid of one of my two worst purchases (Mutz or CDC) to get an STA-2 as a replacement.

I had one as I used to have STB-1 on old account and used it as a trainer

As is the case of the STB-1, the gun stats lead you to believe its accurate, but in reality it was frustratingly poor I did have a 5 point crew and still it would miss even fully aimed shots at medium range.

Personally I didn't like it, maybe its just me.

You mean the muzzle break, It is quite a good looking tank though!

Muzzle breaks are designed to reduce recoil and to redirect muzzle flash and reduce noise in the direction of the target

I always kind of liked muzzle breaks silencers are better though!

Sta-2 is really good, its accurate, it can snapshot, decent mobility and i noticed that i fire less heat so the pen is also good.  only drawback  is paper armor therefore it can get wrecked by arty

Also it's a good padder  :hiding:
